The Japanese Gardens at Tillman Water Treatment Plant in Van Nuys, CA. Starfleet HQ. We will be filming on location here for Act 2.
That's awesome, and a first for a fan production I believe! Are you planning to fill in the rest of the location digitally?
Yes, Pony Horton, who has done amazing stuff for Phase 2, will be handling that.
USS Hermes, the prime timeline version of the USS Newton.
Thanks to the changed nacelles this critter has actually improved dramatically!
That's pretty awesome.
Effin' brilliant, that is! Both Ares and Hermes display a great "hero" quality to them in these configurations. Can't wait to see ANY of these fine ladies in motion.
What I like about all the ship images that have been posted is that they aren't just rearranged Constitution parts, but actual new designs. I'm looking forward to the film.
By the way, if you need another ship design, here's one I did some time back:
I don't know if it will be useful.
Thanks but Tobias has it handled! Much appreciated.
Yep Tobias is doing a good job. Plus I am working on concept art when I can for other parts of the production. This should be a great ride once finished.
And I'm positively DROOLING at the prospect of doing these shots!!!!
Hey, I like that one...
More Tobias Richter Brilliance!
USS Korolev - Heavy Cruiser
Ares has a new registry number. We felt that since Axanar was set close to the launch of the Enterprise, and Ares was probably a cutting edge ship, it needed to have a newer #. Thus, NCC -1650
USS Magellan - Cruiser Class
I think there haven't been many responses to these new ships being posted because we're all frankly speechless. Absolutely amazing work! Let's see a test animation!
Thanks Mark! I know, Tobias is a freaking genius. We are so lucky to have him on board.
USS Geronimo - Light Cruiser
Tobias added a Shuttle Bay to the cruiser and light cruiser.
