McCoy sits down next to Kirk.

Pike: (over comm) This is Captain Pike, we've been cleared for take-off.

Bones: Don't pander to me kid, one tiny crack in the hull and our blood boils in thirteen seconds. Solar flare might crop us, cook us in our seats. And wait 'til your sitting pretty with a case of Andorian Shingles, see if you're still so relaxed when your eyeballs are bleeding. Space is disease and danger wrapped in darkness and silence.

McCoy: Well, I got nowhere else to go. The wife took the whole Damn Planet in the Divorce. All I got left is my Bones.

McCoy: "McCoy, Leonard McCoy."

The scene shows the shuttle taking off from the construction site, transition into space words come onto the screen reading:"THREE YEARS LATER".

(Three years later, the Narada streaks though space, as Nero lies waiting in his quarters.)

Romulan: Captain Nero, you've been requested on the Bridge, sir. Ayel says it's time.

The scene changes to Ayel on the bridge.

Ayel: Sir! We've arrived at the coordinates you've calculated...but theres nothing here! What are your orders?

Nero: Kill him? I'm not going to kill him. I'm going to make him watch. (Black hole opens, the Jellyfish comes out and flies toward the Narada) Capture that ship! Welcome back, Spock.

Scene changes to Earth; the Golden Gate Bridge can be seen in the background at Starfleet academy; Bones and Kirk step out a crowded doorway into the daylight walking down some steps.

McCoy: "Why are you so happy?"

McCoy: You know, I've got better things to do than to watch you embarrass yourself for a third time! I'm a doctor, Jim, I'm busy.
