(At a bar in Riverside, Iowa, Uhura arrives, greets various people, then heads to the bar)

Uhura: Hi! I'd like a Klabnian Fire Tea, three Budweiser classics, two Cardassian sunrises and...

 

[LeadHead]

Bartender: The Slusho mix is good.

 

[JonnyBoy]

Uhura: The Slusho mix, thank you!

 

[Leandar]

Kirk: That's a lot of drinks for one woman.

 

[JonnyBoy]

Uhura: ...And a shot of Jack, straight-up.

 

[Yeoman Randi]

Kirk: Make that two, her shot's on me.

 

[Iamnotspock]

UHURA: "Her shot's on her. Thanks, but no thanks."

 

[Yeoman Randi]

Kirk: Don't you at least want to know my name before you completely reject me?

 

[Iamnotspock]

UHURA: I'm fine without it.

 

[Yeoman Randi]

Kirk: You ARE fine without it. It's Jim, Jim Kirk.
(no response from Uhura)
If you don't tell me your name I'm gonna have to make one up.

 

[Leandar]

Uhura: It's Uhura.

 

[Yeoman Randi]

Kirk: Uhura! No way! That's the name i was gonna make up for ya! Uhura What?

 

[LeadHead]

Uhura: Just Uhura.

 

[Leandar]

Kirk: They don't have last names in your world?

 

[Yeoman Randi]

Uhura: Uhura IS my last name.

 

[LeadHead]

Kirk: Then they don't have.... first names on your world. You're a cadet, you're studying, what's your field?

 

[Yeoman Randi]
