Kirk: That's a lot of drinks for one woman.

 

[Rush Limborg]

Uhura: (dryly)...And a shot of Jack--straight up.

 

[Wynterhawk]

Kirk: Make that two. Her shot's on me.

 

[Rush Limborg]

Uhura: Her shot's on her.

Thanks, but no thanks....

 

[Wynterhawk]

Kirk: Don't you want to at least know my name before you completely reject me?

 

[Yeoman Randi]

Uhura: I'm fine without it.

 

[Wynterhawk]

Kirk: You are fine without it. It's Jim. Jim Kirk. If you don't tell me your name, I'm gonna have to make one up.

 

[Yeoman Randi]

Uhura: It's Uhura.

 

[Wynterhawk]

Kirk: Uhura? No way! That's the name I was gonna make up for you. Uhura what?

 

[Yeoman Randi]

Uhura: Just Uhura.

 

[Wynterhawk]

Kirk: They don't have last names in your world?

 

[Yeoman Randi]

Uhura: Uhura is my last name.

 

[JonnyBoy]

Kirk: They don't have, uh, first names in your world?

Uhura smiles, and Kirk moves next to her at the bar.

Kirk: So, you're a Cadet, you're stunning, what's your focus?

 

[Rush Limborg]

(technically, it's "studying", not "stunning", but, hey)

Uhura: Xenolinguistics.

(glares at him) You have no idea what that means.

 

[Yeoman Randi]

Kirk: The study of alien languages. Morphology, phrenology, syntax. It means you've got a talented tongue.

 

[Wynterhawk]

Uhura: I'm impressed. For a moment there, I thought you were just a dumb hick who only has sex with farm animals.

 

[Rush Limborg]

Jimbo: Wellllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll...not only.

[Wynterhawk]

(Uhura laughs in disbelief)

Burly cadet: This townie isn't bothering you, right?

 

[Yeoman Randi]

Uhura: Beyond believe, but it's nothing I can't handle.

Kirk: You could handle me. That's an invitation.
