The screen zooms in to reveal the name and registry of the U.S.S. Enterprise, a ship Nero appears to recognize.
Suddenly, the face of the Romulan Captain, Nero, appears on the viewscreen.
Nero: Hello!

Nero: I do not speak for the Empire. We stand apart. As does your Vulcan crew member. Isn't that right, Spock.
Nero:No not yet were not.Spock,there is something I want you to see. Captain Pike come aborad to Narda for negtions abord shuttle craft.As you see your transport is unoppertive therefore you have no choice.That is all
^^Actually, it's:Nero: No, we're not. Not yet. Spock, there's something I want you to see. Captain Pike, your transporter has been disabled. As you can see by your armada, you have no choice. You will man a shuttle and come aboard the Narada for negotiations. That is all.
Then:
Kirk: He'll kill you, you know that.
Kirk: We get nothing by diplomacy.Going over there is a mistake
Spock: I too agree, you should rethink your strategy.
Sulu: (meekly raises his hand) ...I have training, sir....
Pike:You come with me,Kirk you too your not suposed to be here.Chekov you have the con.
Chekov: Aye, aye, Captain.
(Scene cut to hull of the Enterprise than the Narda) Nero:Prepare the red matter
Ayel: Yes, sir.
Ayel goes to Jellyfish where a Romulan extracts the Red Matter, they place it into an injector.
Pike, Kirk, Spock and Sulu walk through corridors.
Pike: Without transporters, we can't beam off the ship. We can't assist Vulcan, we can't do our job. Mister Kirk, Mister Sulu, Engineer Olsen will space jump from the Shuttle. You will land on that machine they've lowered into the atmosphere that's scrambling our gear. You'll get inside, you'll disable it, then beam back to the ship. Mister Spock, I'm leaving you in command of the Enterprise, once we have transport ability and communications back up, you'll contact Starfleet and let them know what the hell is going on here. And if all else fails, fall back and rendezvous the fleet in the Laurentian system. Kirk, I'm promoting you to First Officer.
