Thanks Praetor. Lets go with Kirk. though i liked certain aspects of into darkness, I am trying to wipe the last 20 minutes or so out of my memory
I hope I'm not the only one that genuinely enjoyed that movie ... 
I cant really say anything i have already pre ordered the blu ray.
I genuinely enjoyed the movie. It had its dumb and weak moments, but it was a solid adventure film and plenty of fun.
That's what always bothers me about Star Trek: they never have any cool merchandise available. Come on guys, we wanna buy stuff!

According to this article, the merch situation is pretty messed up between jj cbs and paramount. I have also read that the cbs paramount rights issues is the primary stumbling block to a new series.

I was looking forward to a 3.75 inch line of ST:ID action figures from Hasbro, but those plans didn't last very long.
I wonder how much the lack of merch...burger king glasses, toys, posters, etc. affected ticket sales in the U.S. I mean they advertised pretty heavy on tv, but that stuff tends have an effect.
