stalkin' my peeps - Welcome New Members thread!

I think it's a combination of the things you say and your avatar, which will make me smile for ages!

Ian does possess an ability to bring the happy. He was the wallpaper on my computer for quite a while. Every time I switched the computer on, it always made me smile :)

I'm not sure why, but anytime anyway says they think I'm funny, it makes me think of an old Bob Monkhouse joke (I'm not sure whereabouts you live, but if you don't live in the UK, then Bob Monkhouse was a stand-up comedian/t.v host).

"When I told people I wanted to be a comedian, they laughed. Well, they're not laughing now."

Oh, ok :)

Ian is the owl. I don't know why I named him Ian, but I did. I think it suits him.

Ian is an excellent name for an Owl...

I have to admit Ian is one of those names I've been actually considering for a baby name... should I have kids.

Hello all I just signed up yesterday (did not notice this threat until now)

Im a 29 year old Dutch guy and been a big Star Trek fan for over 20 years.

Nice forum you got here.

Hey, I'm Sarah. I was a member awhile back, but because the e-mail I used for my other account was hacked fairly recently, I had to rejoin. I've been a Trekkie for almost six years now (as it says in my sig), and my favorite character has always been Spock. See you around the site!

I put this in the red shirt forum a few days ago, but i don't think everyone can see it. i only found this thread now.

I just discovered the intro thread, ive been here for 2 days, i was looking for an intro thread but didn't notice it till now ^^

ExplorerAtHeart is my handle though i used the handle Mobius (mostly with a number 57) before a certain point and still use on some forums.

I am a huge space geek as well as some scifi. I have seen Every single episode of Stargate SG1 and Atlantis but only 2 of SGU. It hurts me to watch that show. I have watched about 75% of star trek voyager and that was around 2 years ago. I mostly ignored star trek until voyager and got hooked on it when it was on TV. I stopped watching it and have not payed much attention to star trek until a week or so ago where I watched 4 straight episodes of TNG and got hooked, now im gonna watch all of star trek ^^. I did see the 2009 film. Some other Scifi universes i love are Star Wars, Halo, Freelancer, Homeworld and Orion's Arm. My favorite of them all is Orion's Arm which is an online hard science fiction world building project. It has giant and heavily detailed encyclopedia galactica.

I am a huge science geek and I am deeply interested in a great variety of things from the Geosphere to the Biosphere to the Technosphere to Astronomy. Especially astronomy, here is my youtube channel as proof to that http://www.youtube.com/mobius1234. I was deeply inspired by Carl Sagan and plan to use him as an avatar once i am able.

*edit i set my time to eastern standard time and the post time still seems to be an hour behind, even when i mess with the daylight saving time * edit 2, i decided to just move my timezone ahead once, it works ^^

"There's 2 things I can't stand. People who are intolerant of other peoples' cultures, and the Dutch." ;)

Just kidding. Welcome to the board. :)
