He's way overplayed the "firing of the production staff," for starts. He may have gotten on to some real information in one instance, but doesn't seem to have a clue how or why anything really happens in a situation like this.

The "syndicated radio show" that Para Mobius is talking about is "Speaking Of Strange" out of Asheville, North Carolina, hosted by Joshua P. Warren. Para built the show's website. Our friend Para is a great believer in UFOs, crop circles and all sorts of whacko conspiracies and in fact has his own website devoted to selling you all sorts of gadgets and geegaws for hunting ghosts and extraterrestrials.

Well, his "work" in "various projects...for the Travel Channel" was simply through Warren's participation in that channel's Paranormal Challenge back in 2011. As far as any real personal involvement in the entertainment industry outside of N.C. and his association with Warren, he has none at all.

I wonder if they've confused the overall film budget with the actual on set/location shooting budget.
Typically, the 4 to 6 months on set and on location to shoot the various scenes take up only about a quarter of a films overall budget.
Of course for a film with a $190 million budget, no one outside of the studio accounting team and very senior production members will see the actual numbers.
Even then, the real budget is something the studios keep very tightly to their chest.

Dennis speaks the truth. The evidence is in this thread, copied from the FB group. He went from claiming to work in radio to being a "Hollywood producer". That's one blatant lie right there. There is even one huge hole in the story he got right - claiming the ST3 script was a rehashed Planet of the Titans, which is at odds with the synopsis floating about, not to mention how the PotT story would be a terrible fit for an action blockbuster movie in the vein of ST'09 and ID.
Anyone upset at the direction Trek took in 2009 is leaping all over this, because it's the closest thing to a win they're gonna get.
I'll take the word of the guy who is a real Hollywood producer in this instance.

Shooting for this movie was to start in February according to several actors. That six weeks from now!
We don't have a release date, a script, a director, actors signed on besides the regulars. the Paramount pre-production staff being send home... There is nothing at the moment. Except for Bob Orci telling people it's all alright. Come on, it is clearly not.
On January 31st 2015 the non compete contract CBS has with Paramount/Bad Rabot wil expire.
CBS is planning to bring back Trek to the small screen with prime universe stories. They don't like the JJ Abrams universe version of Trek. They hate it. I for one don't hate it and I understand why they chose for this alternate timeline.
People who are running the Bring back Enterprise for Season 5 campaign on Facebook (people who were involved in Star Trek like Rob Bolivar en Doug Drexler have posted several messages from CBS in their group. Those messages confirm CBS can't do anything officially until January 31st 2015. They want to bring Trek back to the small screen with prime universe stories and don't want to work with Bad Robot's alternate universe.
