*Spoilers* U.S.S. Franklin Design?

I was reading TrekCore's trailer breakdown and noticed in one of the screen craps on the other ship we see the crew on appears to be a ship schematic on one of the screens behind Scotty. I cropped it and reuploaded it so we could see it. Not the best quality but it kind of reminds me of the NX-01 design (of course it looks magnified so not seeing the whole thing I'm sure.)

Maybe those wavy distortions in the readouts around what vaguely looks like a Federation starship mean that the Franklin is hiding underwater?

I see Nacelle (on top) and deflector (closest to Scott) with distortions.

Reminds me of this quote:

Montgomery Scott:
Do you have any idea how ridiculous it is to hide a starship on the bottom of the ocean?

It's the Flying Sub!

I wonder if the design of the Franklin will show some resemblance to one of the other designs on Marcus' powerwall from STiD. Not that I think it would be designed intentionally to match one, considering that they were barely visible in STiD in the first place. Just be interesting if it could be matched up to the one of them. There was the Makin and something that looked like a mini-Connie IIRC.

It will look like this ship from Marcus' office:

I'm not so sure on that. I certainly wouldn't rule it out as being possible, but IMHO if they were going to have it be a TOS Connie than the bridge would look more like the one from TOS.

Aren't they on a planet? Bottom screen just looks like ground terrain.

Terrain contours, plus a couple of lines of text overlaid, at the upper left corner. The latter provide something for the eye to attach to and start seeing things.

The upper screen, OTOH, could well show the butt end of a Raven style ship or a runabout. Although the odds of it doing that are pretty much zero.

I don't think ship on the upper screen is The Franklin. I think the the screen is nothing but a radar display screen, and it's showing a ship from the present time period.

If you go frame by frame? The final frame before the scene changes. The ship is no longer displayed on the screen.

Hi all,

Top left of the bottom view screen.

Looks like the side view of a small starship with the warp nacelle at the extreme top left and a flat saucer to the right.

Resembles the NX series of ships from Enterprise.

The rest of the bottom view screen does look like terrain contours as other have said.
