Spoilers Spoiler-ish Q&A - Star Trek Beyond

Very happy and excited by the positive comments.

Not going to read all the little updates and spoilers.

Need to keep one or two surprises for the cinema!

Hate to rain on this parade, but Im not sure this thread is a great idea.

If you were at either screening, you would have signed a document agreeing that you would refrain from reviewing/spoiling this movie till the 21st.

I think this thread crosses that line. The Australian fans had a blast yesterday. The Paramount people were very good to the fans yesterday. Please don't do anything that might jeopardize Paramount putting on these events.

And besides, guys, you will want to see this film yourselves as unspoiled as possible. It's rather good.

Not so much a spoiler question, but is the film appropriate for kids? I've bought a ticket for my 6 year old, who loves all the Star Wars and Harry Potter films (doesn't find them scary). Would you say STB is similar in "scare level" to those?

No. I wouldn't let a six year old watch this one.

I don't think I've actually spoiled anything that isn't already in a trailer or in the first five minutes - and I wouldn't want to be the guy to do that anyway.

So I guess asking you if there is a prologue like the other two films is out of the question and if so how does the movie begins?

This is possibly petty but I have to admit my curiosity is killing me. I've seen some rumors elsewhere that following the scene between Uhura and Spock released last week by Paramount...

Uhura and Scotty end up at least temporarily together as a nod to The Final Frontier?

Please, Tell me more about the new Enterprise A
They fixed the nacelle ? its color is closest to TOS ? the design is exactly like JJprise ? They show the new Bridge

Hi Andy. Really appreciated your answers regarding the U.S.S. Franklin.

How has the Rihanna song been worked into the film? Part of the end credits OR (and some fans definitely won't like this...) heard during an actual scene in someway?

Disregard if you think the answer might cause the internet to meltdown!

What about social commentary? My biggest issue with JJTrek is the dumbed down aspect. I'm hopeful this one has substance. Something to think about.

It's in the end credits.

Pegg didn't abuse his role as a screenwriter in that way.

He did an excellent job - the script and story have both proven incredibly faithful to the best of the 50 years of Star Trek.

You'll be pleased enough. Good stories usually mean more proverbial food for thought.

Is there a Vulcan character called T'Pring?
Does Prime die offscreen?
What happened to Carol Marcus, is she pregnant already?
