His first name sounds like that noise a computer makes when it is dialing up the internet.
I always thought "Spock" was his first name, that Amanda was referring to the Vulcan surname that was hard to say for humans. BTW sounds cool but most of the Vulcan or Romulan words we've heard onscreen tell native Vulcan isn't so arch mere humans can't pronounce it.
The mysterious unpronounceable name idea was lost the minute actors started speaking "Vulcan".
