Spock's character is overexposed?

I'm not sure how the second lead in a TV series was "overexposed." It's not as if Spock took over the series ala Dr. Smith on Lost in Space. He was the second lead. "Also starring."

No kidding. He was the second lead so he's going to feature. Kind of like how Kirk would solve a lot of problems as the other lead. It's part of the Trek package: Kirk and Spock.
