Well, that gets us halfway there. Now if we can only find that episode...

It suddenly strikes me that this must be a Dr. Spock gag, given the baby.

The position of Spock's hand leads me to suspect that he may have quieted the crying baby with the ol' nerve pinch.

He's holding a tumbler. This picture is in a photoshop thread with some info. There, the Dr. Spock angle is mentioned.

The picture is legit (not a photoshop) as it is in gettyimages archives.
I did not post this initially as it has the large watermark arcoss it but found
one on the web that looked better.

I have watched the clip before. I thought it was posted by someone on this board. Try YouTube... use keywords like Carol Burnett, Leonard Nimoy, etc. Where did you find the image? Often you can use that to find others like it.

I did find this gem of a Carol Burnett TOS clip:

It's "The Procrustean Petard."

Ugh, what a horrible story that was.

That isn't the "Proctustean Petard" from the New Voyages short story collections. Same premise, but Carol Burnett played it for laughs, obviously. The short story was better, but not one of the finer examples of Fan Trek.

I was kidding--I know they aren't really the same. Spock and the Klingon (Kang in the story) don't become slash fic hyper alphas trying to get into Kirk's panties, for instance. (Were you Team Spock or Team Kang? I was Team Kang! Giggle giggle shriek!) And, as far as I'm concerned, the story was worse.

I was team "What the-?"

And does it matter which we thought was worse? The only thing going for the Carol Burnett version was the laughs. At least the short story tried to get the characterization correct. Tried, mind you. I don't think it succeeded.

No, it's not a photoshop, but that's where I found it on this bbs (a photoshop thread). It would take hours to find it, but it's in there. I think all the info on that thread had accumulated here, though. Dr. Spock skit. Real. Guest shot. That's about it, eh?

I confess. It was never a television episode. This is my baby picture. I am the love child of Spock and Carol Burnett.:vulcan:

Seriously, I have not been able to locate more than a reference to the episode, so far.
