maybe Spock has one of these at hand when the change happens

yeah the movie is going to be like something from a FanFilmBefore i throw my 2 cent about this topic. I dont like time travel concept at all in Star Trek universe. back to topic
I like Vger idea. Vger(in another dimminsion) senses Nero ship going back in time by using space time vortex caused by f.e. blackhole. Vger warns very old dying Spock and leads him where time vortex is. Spock enters time vortex just before it closes and sucessfully warns young Kirk. Spock then dies in XI movie.
Not only to prevent the ascension of James T. Kirk and his crew, but to destroy Vulcan and throw the Federation and Klingons into war with each other (remember the destruction of a large part of the Klingon fleet? And mention of the 'galactic Pearl Harbor?). This would leave the Romulans the dominant power in the quadrant, and eliminate any possibility with reunifying with Vulcan and abandoning their warrior ways.

maybe he just read the script.Maybe there is no "timeline change" and Spock simply follows Nero back in time.
That's my bet.

From the sound of things, Nero doesn't have to get the Klingon and Federal into conflict, he takes out the bulk of the Federation and Klingon fleets himself. Rumors have Nero taking out the Federation fleet at Vulcan. Even if he doesn't complete his final objective of destroying vulcan, he's already left his rivals severely weakened.

To be fair, GENERATIONS and FIRST CONTACT could be considered pandering fanwank..but they worked.

Even FC had strong elements of late 90s fanwank: The Borg? Zefram Cochrane himself? The VOYAGER Holodoctor? A huge space battle? Time travel? The Vulcans even show up at the very end!
well gee, do you know any that i can pose that question to?Maybe there is no "timeline change" and Spock simply follows Nero back in time.

Ask a guy in 1708 how you "simply" fly from New York to London. As soon as he answers you I'll tell you how a guy in the 24th century "simply" goes back in time.
you know I have been thinking about this, but I cant place what you mean, what pools of blood are you talking about, im very sure CBBC does not allow its characters to be seen dead in pools of blood.maybe Spock has one of these at hand when the change happens
