Spock is GAY?!

Zachary Quinto's sexuality/personal life is something he doesn't discuss.

The rumor started because he's had a couple bisexual/gay roles (the kiss wasn't even real), some of his metrosexual mannerisms and the fact that he's articulate. The rumors largely seem to center around his role on So NoTORIous.

You'll also pretty much note that every actor on IMDb has some 'Are they gay?' thread (often of the wishful-thinking variety). Even the ones that are completely ridiculous with a lot of evidence to the contrary; though admittedly, ZQ's love life is total and complete mystery.

And as for ZQ playing 'straight' roles, he's done heterosexual romantic scenes both in Heroes and Star Trek XI. His Sylar character even has a sexual scene with the character Elle during The Eclipse two-parter. His Sylar and Spock roles are straight, anyway. Sylar has had more female love interests on Heroes than most of the heroes--and he's the villain!

Wishful thinking is right..seems like that thread comes up on about every actor/actress so the gays can have someone famous they can point to, sort of like reinforcing their own lifestyle with someone famous. Imagine the disappointment on their faces when their wishful thinking turns out to be NULL.
Wow. Not only did you completely miss the point of the post to which you were responding, but you also seem to have forgotten about having previously received two warnings for trolling with anti-gay rhetoric in a forum not appropriate for such language (one of those warnings, in fact, issued in this very forum.) Take that stuff to TNZ, or take it to another BBS entirely, but it is not welcome in this forum and it is against the rules.

You now have a new warning to go with the others. Comments to PM.

So the important question should be: Is Zachary Quinto a vegetarian?

That's what you meant by "lifestyle" wasn't it? :)
Please don't feed the trolls. It only encourages them.

Who cares? He did a good job in the movie. I was pre-disposed to not like his portrayal of young Spock (to me, Leonard Nimoy will forever be Mr. Spock) because I don't care for his character in Heroes, but he won me over.

Belated observation.

I thought gay guys yanked all their body hair off. If ZQ is gay, he's pretty hairy for a gay guy.

Just saying.

Going back to work now.
I don't know quite what you were aiming for here -- whether you were trying to make a joke and failed or you're simply misinformed -- but exercising a bit more care about sweeping generalizations (particularly just plain wrong ones such as the above) might be a good practice for you to follow.

Just saying.

I wasn't AIMING for anything. I know all kinds of people and for a while that seemed to be a fad among the gay guys I know. Another good practice you might follow is: (1) not telling someone they're misinformed when (2) you don't know what their frame of reference is.

And maybe you shouldn't make sweeping generalisations about things you only have a limited frame of reference for. If you'd said "all the gay guys I know yank all their body hair off", everyone would have been fine.

So, can we get back to Karl Urban's breakfast choices now? Or would that bring back too many memories of the Urban/Quinto twosome posited earlier...

Well, excuse the fuck out of me for not writing a book to make a quickie comment. If you want to take it as a sweeping generalization that would be your problem not mine.

So, can we get back to Karl Urban's breakfast choices now?

That probably would be best since telling me how I should phrase my comments isn't fine.
