Spock and Uhura [SPOILERS]

Hey wait...he was supposed to be engaged to T'Pring!

well it didnt stop tpring from being interested in stonn nor for that matter
;)
spock evidently wanting something to happen with leila from the flowers will take you over episode.
as opposed to flowers will kill you as seen in the apple.

i swear at some early stage i i read something about leila possibly being in the film but it might have been wise to switch this story angle to a character most people are more familar with .

T'Pring is dead...she was fuckin' Stonn at that moment and they both died cause he couldn't get his pants back on fast enough..., they didn't get off the planet in time...

maybe they were doing it at that time..
tpring to stonn..
no one every rocked the world for me the way you do stonn.

Hey wait...he was supposed to be engaged to T'Pring!

I doubt he has to worry about that anymore.

Indeed. Or Stonn or T'Pau for that matter (unless T'Pau was one of the un-named survivors at the end).

There was enough of a hint of things in earlier scenes that, while it was a surprise, it was a nice surprise and made sense if you thought back to previous scenes.

I look forward to seeing it develop.

OK, but he was engaged to T'Pring and STILL cheating on her. Her dying (if she died, and knowing that bitch, she got off-planet somehow,) doesn't make it right. :p

Of course, being an alternate timeline, perhaps she WAS married to Stonn.

Maybe with this Spock practically telling the High Council to Fock-off...

T'Pring's Family disavowed the arrangement soon afterward?

*SO jealous of Uhura* I thought it was wonderful. Surprised how heart-throbby Quinto was! So beautiful! Did make m wonder how he'll help repoplulate the galaxy with little Vulcans if he ends up with 3/4 human babies. He'll just have to pull a Kirk and romance as many women as he can to get that Vulcan genetic diversity out there!

This was one of the only "accidental" spoilers I came across in the last few days before seeing the film last night. And it worried me before I saw it, but it worked on film. I think it will be interesting to see where Spock goes as a character after this...does he embrace his human side with Uhura or does he go (as someone ahead of me said) "full Vulcan" to try to help maintain the Vulcan culture?

Hey wait...he was supposed to be engaged to T'Pring!

Don't forget Leila Kalomi (This Side of Paradise), who Spock had a relationship with six years prior to the episode. Spock was definitely a player.

Enjoyed the hell out of it.

You know, the funny thing about watching Quinto's Spock, for me, was simultaneously completely buying him as Spock and yet being aware with every shot that this is a new guy. Weird.

I thought it generally added to the movie, and what fun to have Uhura with Spock, and not Kirk, considering the beginning of the movie. The scene with Uhura & Spock in the lift was fabulous and well played. The scene with the three of them in the transporter pad was really funny. Kirk's reaction was perfect. It's kind of a love/lust triangle, without really being one. Lots of fanfic fodder there.

Uhura sure has Spock wrapped around her little finger, considering how fast he caved when she demanded to be reassigned to Enterprise. And good for her, cause she was right. :) I would have preferred a bit more background to the relationship, but as it stands it makes enough sense - no need to inject huge amounts of romance into Star Trek. It was just the right amount. Well played.

^^^Utter hotness notwithstanding I though Quinto has just bought himself the franchise. He really did knock it out of the ballpark!

I cringed a little, but bought it eventually. Doesn't seem nearly as forced as the Uhura/Scotty thing from TFF.

Hey wait...he was supposed to be engaged to T'Pring!

MAIN VIEWER (VFX)
All watch in shock as Vulcan is consumed by the singularity

SPOCK
Vulcan destroyed...six billion inhabitants dead...
(beat)
I'm single again! Yes! Uhura, turbolift, NOW!

I thought the relationship was very nicely handled and didn't seem forced at any point. I enjoyed their scenes together

Ok, I could have done with a little less transporter room kissing though :p
