At one point in time it used to be "okay" to bump "dead" threads so long as whatever you were adding was significant or meant something. The general idea being so as to not clutter the board with several threads about one topic when one already existed.
Over the last few years I've seen a lot of backlash on thread bumps, even when meaningful stuff is added, resulting in a locked thread.... So I'm starting a new one.
After "Endgame" I pretty much checked out of the MCU. It seemed like a good cap on it, and I've not watched too much of the stuff that's came out sense but I'm interested in seeing the latest Spider-man movie but I'd never watched FFH, even though I had the Blu-Ray of it.
Anyway, I watched it this afternoon. (I'll watch NWH when it comes to streaming.)
And, well, I liked it. It was pretty good, and not what I remembered expecting from the trailers.
One thing I don't get is that... Mysterio's plan seems kind convoluted and on the level of The Joker's plan from The Dark Knight where it seems like a lot of things have to sort of click into place just right for it to all work out in his favor.
I mean, first of all, he had to know the Skrulls would be standing in for Fury and Hill as their incompetence was a factor in him getting as much power as he did, and he had to pretty much bet the entire thing on Parker giving him the glasses? I mean, did he know about the note in it? What made him so sure Peter would hand them over?
And when they were handed over why not lock Peter our of them just in case he ever figured it all out and managed to get them back?
I dunno, it was good it just seemed to be missing some "spark" or click I think Marvel/Disney has when they're in control and Sony was kind of fumbling the balls here.
