I remember feeling at the time -- so, 2007 -- that Snow Patrol's music video for "Signal Fire" was better Spider-Man film than Spider-Man 3. The irony is that I'd been a Snow Patrol fan for several years, and I dropped them pretty hard because of "Signal Fire." It felt more like a pastiche of a Snow Patrol song than an authentic Snow Patrol song, like they dropped all of their tricks and motifs in a blender and made something without an ounce of creativity. Anyway, fantastic video.I'm very forgiving, and even I thought Spider-Man 3 was a fucking trainwreck. I remember coming out of it trying to figure how the same people who made the first two, which I loved, could have possibly made that disaster.
Now I will admit, I only saw it once when it first came out in theaters, so my feelings might be different if I were to give another shot now, but I pretty clearly remember feeling that way when I saw it.
I cannot see the Peter/MJ relationship ever working
Which makes me think they didn't completely consider the consequences of Jean's actions which, as a result, makes her seem pretty blasé with the guy stepping in front of the taxi (not bus). The movie's writers are of the belief that Jean didn't kill anyone, but don't comment specifically on the bus incident...

‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ Writers Believe There’s One Line Jean Grey Didn’t Cross
Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers break down their record-breaking movie and crafting a villain that will someday become an X-Men hero: "You have to start them off in a place where they feel formidable.”www.hollywoodreporter.com
Being told that it did and believing it are two different things. We know it did, though.
We know they apparently married. That does not mean the relationship is a healthy one. I, for one, doubt that Tobey's Peter would be willing to put in the work and do the self-reflection.We know it did, though.
Agreed--he did not act to stop the Emperor or his Empire from their crimes, he acted only for selfish reasons, and in that sense, Lucas--for all of his faults regarding the PT--was consistent in making said selfish behavior a part of Vader/Anakin all along. So much for the idea of the Fallen Hero Redeemed.I always felt that way too. Throwing the Emporer down the shaft does not "redeem" him from the mass murder he was responsible for.
They are stuck behind the trucks from No Way Home which are still offloading money.Damage Control branded trucks full of money are heading to Tom's house as we speak.
Oh Ok, I get it now.Rosario Dawson adopted a twelve year old girl when Rosario was thirty. Her daughter gave birth to a boy when she was 23.
Somewhere in Avengers: Secret Wars, they should bring Morales and probably Gwen onstage for a scene or two. Then in the next Spidey film, Peter and MJ can work their shit out while lending a hand in getting those two started as his replacements.
Yup, I far prefer that idea. Which leads to Holland's idea of passing the baton by becoming a mentor of sorts, like Tony was for him.I had an idea that Peter would work towards becoming a science teacher. The final scene of Holland's last Spider-man movie would be answering a question......from Miles Morales.
But no way can I see them killing off Peter Parker. If they were too worried about doing a Man-Spider dream sequence in this movie then they aren't going to push the envelope.
I would take one of the many endings to the 90s Clone Saga that didn't take. Peter retires to be a family man and he and MJ head for a life in the West Coast, leaving Ben — or, in this case, Miles — to do the Spider-Man thing. But no way can I see them killing off Peter Parker. If they were too worried about doing a Man-Spider dream sequence in this movie then they aren't going to push the envelope.
