Spoilers Spider-man 3(take 2) Anticipation thread

Could be. Looks like a hooded Goblin like the Hob Goblin from the comics. I wonder if it's an MCU Goblin rather than one from the multiverse.

 

I'm starting to get Day of the Doctor vibes from this film - Peter having to decide if he can kill his enemies, then his other selves come in to help ease him into the process, and then at the last minute they all come up with a non-lethal solution to defeating the Sinister Six.

 

Andrew Garfield is actually playing the lead villain who brings the Sinister Six together.... Jim Bakker!

Would be an interesting way to introduce Hobgoblin but that seems unlikely considering everyone else.

 

Look at the first shot of the trailer again. That's the face of a young man who just lost everything that ever mattered to him.

Uncle Ben, Harry, Gwen - they all die loving Spider-Man. That's their fate.

 

Both of those images look extremely faked.

 

The Spanish language spot has a longer version of this shot and shows lizard getting hit by an invisible opponent. Someone was deliberately edited out of the shot.

 

I imagine another Spider-Man will rescue Michelle at the end

They do and yet somehow the people who faked them knew that the climax of the film took place on a scaffolding covered Statue Of Steve which would obviously be shot on a blue-screen stage just like the one in the fake photos...

 

I think Andrew Garfield's Peter has earned this one.

 

Man, if you're going to CGI characters out of the trailer, maybe don't choose a sequence where characters you are leaving in are physically reacting to contact with the missing element. Lizard getting visibly hit in the face by something that isn't there was so obvious nobody could help but see it.

It's like they botch this stuff intentionally just to create discussion.

Gee, I wonder what you edited out of the image guys. Worst kept secret in cinema history. Should have just gone for full on advertising.

 

Something to possibly consider is that the story does involve multiple Spider-Men, but they're not played or voiced by alumnus actors and we never see them outside of costume.

The reason I say this is that I don't have any reason to discount multiple people denying that Tobey and Andrew are in the film, but t the same time can't come up with a reasonable explanation for a brief shot in this trailer of what appears to be the black-suited Spidey from the Raimiverse films.

 

It would be awesome if Maguire’s and/or Garfield’s spider-Man mention Spider-Verse. Would be the ultimate crossover to mention something that happened in the main Marvel universe.

 

Hell, I'm still hoping Shameik Moore will show up but I know it's a long shot.

 

Not the movie, Spider-Verse but the actual comic; where multiple Spider-Men fought Morlun and his family. Both Maguire’s and Garfield’s Spider-Man were referenced to be there.

What is going on with Goblins arm and leg in this shot?
Either the worst bluescreen shot ever or there is something/someone piggybacking on the glider they don’t want us to see.
