Cool. I would like to see more!
Nice, saw the rather underwhelming trailer on trekmovie - but this scene is very nicely acted.
But holy moly what where they thinking with that matte painting at the 2 minute mark
Why post this in fan productions? I thought this is a professional production, well funded and with it´s own IP?

As did mine.
Both Picardo and Jones do a fine job of acting. However, the scene is just flat. It's all backstory that's told to us and it goes on far too long, as others have said. Honestly, it feels a bit like some of the more talky scenes in "Babylon 5."

Well acted for the most part, but the scene is talky, unimaginatively directed, and and a technical mess (the sound is bad, the editing manages to feel both choppy and laborious, and the visual effects are rather unconvincing).
The technical parts can be fixed, and I assume they will, but the rest...
We'll see. I admire Zicree for having the ambition to do something that isn't another fan film, and I want to afford him the benefit of the doubt until I can see the final product. But he has a lot of convincing to do.

It would seem I'm digging on it more than most so far:
I like this about it. The alien guy's design even kind of reminds me of the Minbari. I also like the fake toward the "humans are special" trope and then wryly undercutting it with "chimpanzees could not have done all this... not without significant modification."
I've been following Space Command with interest and really like Jones' and Picardo's work here. This makes me want to see and know more. Thanks to Maurice for posting.
