South Park: Still not cancelled I guess

China is the world's next Nazi level threat especially in how complicent Corporations and the tech companies are in selling out to them. I am glad South Park did this episode. Jason

They seem like they’re defending anti-vaxxers.

Maybe a lot of them are just motivated by protecting their child and mislead by internet misinformation. I think more of them are just the sort of people who like being the one who’s right when everyone else is wrong so they get all their opinions from whatever source seems to contradict the common wisdom.

I got the impression they were saying the were gullable and being childess but did sort of emphasis that having the goverment or society tell people how to raise their children is a understandable feeling. The were against anti vaxers they just didn't see them as monsters. Jason

This B plot with Butters and the Mummy is hilarious. The curse of the mummy is really a clingy best friend who turns his friends against him.

Randy being a dick to his family over his marijuana business does not deserve to be the main story of a season.

Because corporations and tech companies aren't selling out to the USA government.... :alienblush:

I was wondering if the Red Dwarf people felt regret that they had to kill Winnie the Pooh off camera, because the world wasn't ready for that level of childhood murdering back in the 90s.

I suspect it was less a matter of good taste or censorship and more a matter of not having the budget for a Winnie the Pooh costume when it's only a 30-second gag. I mean, this is the same episode where Gandhi was killed by Nazi wax droids!

So is this the end of Tegridy Farms being the main story? I hope so. It's had some great moments along the way but we're six episodes into the season now.

Having said that, I laughed so much at the poor White family not getting enough attention, including the wife's uncontrollable sobs in church. I also laughed at Stan's family celebrating about Randy being arrested.

I always love it when Garrison appears as well, and just loved his Trump way of deflecting blame onto other people to avoid blame.

They’re gladly taking the role of amoral middleman who enables tyranny. Regardless of the tyrant.

I like the way they use “White” a not-veiled analogy. “How would you like to be a White?!”

And the way they respond to everything the Mexicans say with “Muy bien, y tu?”

So. (Cautiously looks around). What did everyone think of...last night’s episode?

Certainly a nuanced issue worthy of discussion? (Carefully checks reactions)

South Park doesn’t exactly have a good record on trans episodes. Comparing it to a human being surgically altered into a dolphin and saying repeatedly a woman is defined by childbearing ability.

And in real life, the trans women wanting to compete are women who identify as women in earnest and have actually transitioned, not guys spiting women out of awfulness.

But can we acknowledge that maybe the fact their bodies developed with male hormones might give them an advantage at elite levels? And make a distinction between being inclusive at high school and college levels, and being competitively fair at elite levels?

And have the discussion without letting in the MAGA types who only want to use the issue to denigrate?

That was a fun season finale. Overall it didn't quite hit, but that part where Randy goes around and gets cocaine legalized was brilliant. At Coachella in front of a sign saying "Drug laws are racist" :)

Bump bump.

So Hulu USA is losing South Park.... at any time really, but before June when HBO App3 takes over the rights.

I haven't watched the show in like 8ish years. What seasons that I missed are the best?
