I believe there are compatible people that resonate on the same level, so yes, to a degree, I believe there is a soulmate.
Just not "The One Uber Soul Mate"™, at least, not at first.
That said, a nice smile and a gentle sense of humor may be all you need to find a good compatible person.

You could also marry a farmer. Then she'd be your soilmate.
I remember when that happened. It wasn't too long ago.
This seems like the most reasonable theory to me. I don't believe in souls so I certainly don't believe in "soulmates."
That said, I love both my girlfriend and my best friend dearly. I think we're just genuinely suited to being together. Well, me with each of them, not all 3 of us together
There's probably a million or more people on the planet I could have a connection with that's similar. But I have them and that's all that really matters. Anything else is academic.
