Ah, that's right. I thought I had read she was involved in some other big film but I couldn't recall what.
Madame Web seems like an odd character to base a movie around. Doesn't she pretty much just sit in a chair and get visions of the future, which she then warns the Spiders about?
From what I've read about the character, she doesn't really seem to play much of an active role in the stories she's involved in.
I would think Silk or Jessica Drew/Spider-Woman would have been a better choice for a female lead Spider Universe movie.
Jackpot is a superheroine with exceptional strength, and her history in the comics is a complicated one. First incarnation was Sara Ehret, a scientist, who, while pregnant, is doing gene therapy research and is exposed to “Lot 777,” a virus that rewrote the DNA in her cells. Her baby is born healthy but she realizes in addition to being a new mom she has superhuman strength after she is forced to save her family.
I'm not familiar with this character
They had that with Silver and Black and then they canceled it.Sony is trying to hard find any Spider-Man related character they can, huh?
I still haven't bothered despite Tom Hardy and Riz Ahmed.I would normally make fun of Sony for their Spider-decisions, but somehow they got a lot of people to go see Venom. And worse yet, a lot of those people say they liked it!![]()
Venom, at least, had history and a fan base. Venom was quite popular back in the 90s. Some of these characters Sony's queuing up are absolutely unknowns.I would normally make fun of Sony for their Spider-decisions, but somehow they got a lot of people to go see Venom. it really is pretty middle-of-the-road and never really quite decides what it wants to be. The banter between Eddie and the symbiote is amusing at times. It would have been an exceptional superhero movie if made in the 80s. It's much better than a lot of 90s fare such as Catwoman, Daredevil or Elektra, although I know that's not saying much. It's most noteworthy to me for having Stan Lee's last filmed cameo before he passed.I still haven't bothered despite Tom Hardy and Riz Ahmed.
Of course. I meant more like once in a while Sony's boneheaded decisions actually work out in the end. Many people thought a Spider-less Venom wouldn't pay off. (Myself included.) Hopefully the second one will actually be good.Venom, at least, had history and a fan base.
You're not missing much.I still haven't bothered despite Tom Hardy and Riz Ahmed.
Venom is one of the most popular Spider-Man villains out there. He was popular in merchandise long before Spider-Man 3, and pretty much has a fan base in of himself.I would normally make fun of Sony for their Spider-decisions, but somehow they got a lot of people to go see Venom. And worse yet, a lot of those people say they liked it!![]()
