I've said before that City is a great episode because it evokes feelings and emotion, and because it is cinematic and operatic. (I still can't believe how much they accomplished and put on screen in that amount of running time.) However, City has a ton of flaws. The dialogue isn't great. Some of the acting is suspect. And it's full of huuuuuuge plot holes, like how McCoy got to the transporter in the first place. This is another good example of a plot hole. I mean, maybe they didn't want to fire the phasers into the source of the time disturbances, but . . . .
