Some actors you would like to see in a Star Trek film?

Mr. Scott

Commander
Christopher Walken. This guy would definitely do a Trek picture. He would love it. Have him be the evil protagonist in a film.

Steve Buscemi, how many aliens could this guy play?

Nathan Lane, the next Harry Mudd?

Alan Alda as the ship's doctor. This would never happen but it would be cool if it could. Could call him Dr. Lawrence Burns in honor of Larry Linville as Frank Burns.

Just some ideas, add your own.

Pretty much the entire cast of The Wire.

Particularly the guy who played Rawls as a ball-busting admiral and the guy who played Clay Davis as a smooth-talking federation ambassador or colonial governor.

Michael York would be spectacular as a Starfleet captain.
Due to his current age (DOB 27 March 1942), he would hopefully play an admiral.

I doubt he would do it, but Sean Connery would be awesome in Star Trek.

That would only put him in his 60s. There are captains in today's navy of that age. By the 24th century (or even 23) people will be living longer and healthier. That wouldn't be too old. If I remember correctly, one of the earliest descriptions of Capt. Picard from one of the earlier drafts of the writers' guide had him described as being "only in his youthful 50s." A capt. in his 60s wouldn't be too much of a stretch.

and What the Fuck?! He's already in his late 60s?! Damn! Now I feel old.
Still, he's a great actor and would be great in it.
