So which ST character do you think had the best voice?

So of all the characters whose voice do you like the most. I'm talking about the character's voice, not the real life voice of the actor/actress. Of course, most actors real voice and their character's voice are identical, but, Rene Auberjonis for example, sounds nothing like Odo IRL. So I'm talking about his voice as Odo.

It was hard for me to choose and I'll leave it to others to bring up many of my other top choices.

Beating Nimoy Spock by a nose is Marc Alaimo as Dukhat.

Almost every time he had a scene it was just so awesome to hear him speak. His voice was smooth and calm, yet menacing at the same time.
Sometimes he could sound so friendly and honest that you almost wanted to believe him, but he always had an edge that always kept you on guard.
I think his character could come off as really hammy if it wasn't nailed exactly right, and Alaimo just killed it every time.

A lot of good choices so far, and hard for me to even select just one choice.

Mark Lenard should at least get an honorable mention, though.

I watch Star Trek episodes in the original English only on rare occations. I'm used to the German voice-actors. As I mentioned elsewhere, they often don't match the original actor's voices. Quite impressive for me are Sisko and Worf....

I'll go with Mr Spock and Captain Picard.
And a vote for Scotty. TOS Scotty not movie Scotty.
Specially because his TV voice was nothing like his real voice.

Forgetting her rodentian lifespan & strange magic, Kes has a very lovely voice that catches the ear in ways that are very pleasing.

Agreed. I would also pick Ezri Dax (Nicole DeBoer)

When it came to a characterized voice.... hard to pick between Kor (John Colicos), and Martok (J.G. Hertzler)

Sulu (circa-TUC), Spock, Sisko and the Borg Queen (with Alice Krige's voice). Jadzia Dax has one of the most soothing voices I've ever heard.

Picard. Saw Stewart at a con while series was still in production, and he did a brief demonstration of getting into the character. Body language and voice were significantly different.

That would have been my first pick. Just so smooth, so melodious.

I did love Tuvok's (Tim Russ) permanent nasal sourpuss delivery, but I don't know if I'd characterize that as "best."

I loved Gowron's voice. So mercurial/menacing.

Mark Lenard either as Sarek or the Romulan Commander in Balance of Terror (or as Aaron Stemple in Here Come the Brides, for that matter). Man had a beautiful voice. Had the experience of running into him (literally) at ST con back in the late 80's and that voice was just as distinctive/powerful in person as it was on-screen.
