Thanks for posting good things about this book. I got a copy the other day, and had a genuine "record scratch!" moment reading on Page 2 of the Prologue, when the author says "Spock and Number One were conceptually melded for 'The Man Trap', the newly filmed pilot that replaced Pike..."
Uh, 'The Man Trap' wasn't a pilot at all. It was the first episode aired, but something like the 5th or 6th one filmed.
It's a small error, but when I read a nonfiction book and catch errors in things that I do know about, it calls into question everything the author says about all the things I don't know about. Was he as slipshod about everything?
