So What Are you Reading?: Generations

i'm curently reading Star Trek V: The Final Frontier by J.M. Dilliard. Its really an oustanding novelization of the film. I havent read it since it released.

Is David Mack coming back to Literary Treks for the review of "Collateral Damage" or any of the Destiny novels?

Yep, David Mack spoke with us for our episode on Collateral Damage, which will be out this Sunday. We're hoping to have him back soon for book 3 of Destiny as well.

I'm looking forward to hearing David Mack talking about Collateral Damage and hopefully future his future book project with Dayton Ward.:bolian:

I just got my copy of Collateral Damage this weekend. I'm itching to read it but I want to finish my Book 2 of the Gorkon series first.

Having just seen the 1923 Lon Chaney silent version of The Hunchback of Notre Dame (presented by the Long Beach Chapter of the American Guild of Organists, with Robert York at the "Mighty Möller" of First Congregational Church of Long Beach), I am now attempting to plow through the Walter J. Cobb translation of the original novel. It's been sitting on my shelf for decades, since my first unsuccessful attempt to get through it.

I might add that if I can get through The Canterbury Tales, in the original Middle English (albeit with the Cliffs Notes always close at hand), I should be able to get through this.

I finished up the e-book of ST: Section 31: Disavowed by @David Mack and I loved it.
Once that was finished I started the digital collection of Star Wars: Darth Maul: Son of Dathomir, and after my tablet died, I started Hard Crash by Christie Golden, the third novella in the first Star Trek: SCE paperback omnibus, Have Trek, Will Travel.

I envied Tim this gig, as Zula Hendricks is awesome. I got to write a little bit of her in Alien: Isolation, at least.....
Is she a known character? All I know about her are those flashback scenes in Isolation. She seems to know about Aliens and has hunted them before. I’m 250 pages in and it hasn’t explained how she knows about them. I assume they rescued Amanda eventually and she told her about them.

Zula is a character who originated in the Dark Horse comics. She's featured in the excellent twelve-issue series Aliens: Defiance, written by Brian Wood. That's where her friendship with Amanda was established, and also where she encounters both Xenomorphs and Weyland-Yutani's mendacity in full force. Prototype takes place after that.

Zula and Amanda also appeared in the four-issue miniseries Aliens: Resistance, which takes place after both Isolation and Prototype.

i'm currently reading Star Trek: The Next Generation: Masks by John Vornholt. It's one of my favorite early TNG books. Basically Lord of the Rings meets Star Trek.
