So What Are you Reading?: Generations

I finished reading Star trek Dominion war book4 Sacrifice of Angels by Diane Carey. I'm now reading Blood red rubies by Jane K. Cleland.

Just finished Lords of the Sith, it's a boring book and I hoped that Sidious or vader where a littlebit in trouble but unfortunately Sidious expected everything.
So far the worst book i have read from paul s kamp and in my Star wars novels

Just finished Alien: The Cold Forge which I really enjoyed and Spider-Man: Hostile Takeover.
Back to the A Time To... series with book 5.

Haven't posted here in a while, but I just read Kathy Tyers' Shivering World. (the 2018 republish) Man, if ever a book deserves its own miniseries, this one does. Except I think it should simply be called Goddard, after the planet it's mostly set on.

Just posted a video review of Voyager: Architects of Infinity by Kirsten Beyer.

Finished reading book 6 of the A Time To series, A Time to Hate by Robert Greenberger.

Currently reading Bob Woodward's book Fear before moving on to DS9: Millennium: Book II: The War of the Prophets by Judith & Garfield Reeves-Stevens.

I did! I was kind of meh on the first part of the duology, A Time to Love, but I feel like A Time to Hate really wrapped up that story well. I was really into it and found it a satisfying read.
I’m one book behind you. Taking another break after 5 to read Ship of the Line. Need to buy 7 and 8 as well.

Lacking any new ST novels, . . .

I'm working my way through the "Captain's Table" series. I wasn't all that impressed with L. A. GRAF's Kirk/Sulu story. Not up to the same level as those writing ST fiction today.

I also, on my lunch break today, picked up the fourth of Madeleine L'Engle's "Time" series, along with Relic, a new Alan Dean Foster book that had apparently slipped under my radar.

Latest Literary Treks episode is up! #242: A Starship Without Coffee, all about TNG #61: Diplomatic Implausibility by Keith R.A. DeCandido, the prelude to his IKS Gorkon/Klingon Empire series!

Since you're currently reviewing the "A Time To" novels on Literary Treks, is this a prelude to reviewing the TNG relaunch novels next year?

We don't currently have them on the schedule. I'd like to, but it'd be a pretty huge time commitment. We're scheduled through about March so far. It's definitely a possibility, though!

I just finished up the Captain's Table books not too long ago. They were up and down. The only shared theme is really The Captain's Table bar and some of the characters featured there. I thought the New Frontier book and the Captain Pike book were pretty good. The NF book gives a pretty good backstory on Captain Calhoun and I thought the Pike book had a good story. I also enjoyed the Voyager book as it features Janeway stranded from Voyager and having to find her way on an alien ship at war. I thought it did a good job fleshing out Janeway's character, which was part of the purpose of the Captain's Table. TNG and DS9 books in the series were average. They didn't blow me away but they were engaging enough.

The Tales of the Captain Table were likewise up and down. I hated the Archer story. Since the original books were written before Enterprise he wasn't featured originally. This was the only opportunity to see something unique to Archer but they wasted it on a made up story he was telling about Porthos. Most of the stories in the Captains Table seem to focus on something that made that captain who they were. The Enterprise story did none of that. On the flip side I enjoyed the story on Demora Sulu, then captain of the Enterprise-B, as that did give some background on her character.

BTW, just started Star Trek #97 "In the Name of Honor". This was one of my priority to read books as it is one of the few books to take place on the Enterprise-A, about a month after TFF. Looking forward to that one.

Powersat by Ben Bova and Into the black the first of the first design and building space shuttle Columbia and it's launch by Richard White.
