So What Are you Reading?: Generations

Since my last post I finished Tomb Raider, Volume 2: Secrets and Lies.
I then read:
Torchwood, Volume 2: Station Zero
Star Trek: Stargazer: Gauntlet
by Michael Jan Friedman
Star Trek: Constellations: "As Others See Us" by Christopher L. Bennett
I'm now reading Star Trek: Stargazer: Progenitor by Michael Jan Friedman.

A Time to Sow currently.
Might read Stargate Rebellion afterwards. A novel set after the movie and was written before the TV show came to be. Will be interesting to see another take on the franchise.
I've got a new Alien book to read. No doubt Audible will make it a audio play next Alien Day.

I finished up STTNG: Mirror Broken last night, and once that was done I started ST: Prey Book 3: The Hall of Heroes by John Jackson Miller (@JJMiller).

"Imzadi" by Peter David. I'm not usually someone that is big on romance, but, surprisingly, David handles it really well.

I finished New Earth: Wagon Train to the Stars last night.

It started off a bit scattered for me in terms of dialogue and descriptive writing, but really found its stride halfway through. I enjoyed the broad sphere of characters being introduced, although I am not completely bought into the Blood / Kauld as antagonists.

It is cool to visualize this type of adventure with this convoy of ships and colonists and the multitude of things that can happen on such a journey. You could spend an entire series of books on just the perilous trip alone.

Starting book 2, New Earth: Belle Terre, tonight. I'm hoping there is more of a frame of reference for time jumps. In a series like this I do like the chapters to at least give me some sort of reference of when/where if the setting has changed since there are so many aspects involved.

Just posted my review of Andrew Robinson's Garak opus, A Stitch in Time. One of my all-time favourite Trek novels!

Currently reading DS9: Millennium Book I: The Fall of Terok Nor by Judith & Garfield Reeves-Stevens. I've never read this trilogy, very excited to get into it!

Finished book 2 in New Earth series - Belle Terre. It certainly had a quick pace with a more singular focus than the first book, and it was pretty entertaining the whole way through. Certain elements from book 1 were completely missing, but this feels like a bridge to big events in the next installment.

Starting book 3 - Rough Trails - tonight.

Alien: The Cold Forge
A interesting novel set shortly after Aliens about W-Y back up plan on what they call the “Snatchers”.

I finished rereading Dominion war book 2 A call to arms and now reading TNG 3 A Tunnel through the stars. by John Vornholt.

Currently reading "Typhon Pact: Brinkmanship", since I started reading it a few years ago and only got a few chapters into it.
