So What Are you Reading?: Generations

Well, Montoya (Gotham for me) and Booster Gold (Smallville) were probably the most recognizable out of the main characters (along with Rip and The Flash).

Some of the others I've heard mentioned here. - One of these days, I'll have to catch up with the main storylines. It might be a teensy bit of a long read to catch up on every single adventure printed to date:lol:

My novelization is basically the Reader's Digest versions of the original comic-book series, which featured many more characters and crossovers. Believe it or not, I mercilessly cut out entire subplots and characters from "52" just to keep the novelization down to a manageable size! (Sorry, Lobo, Elongated Man, Starfire . . . ..)

I'm actually proud of the way I managed to boil that gigantic saga down to a single novel with a beginning, middle, and end. It was a challenge.

And then I had to do it all over again with the sequel! :)

I started reading Small Favor, the 10th book in the Dresden Files series last night.

Have to admit a bit of a binge. Since July 27th all I have done is pretty much read.

Fowl Deeds May Rise, Tales of the Dominion War, Dawn of Eagles, Night of Wolves, Day of Vipers, Forged in Fire, Burning Dreams, Daedalus, Daedalus's Children, The Children of Kings....

Unfortunately my summer break ends on Monday.....I started Enemy Territory tonight.

I'm finally reading those TNG 'A TimeTo....' books. Right now I'm on A Time to Harvest. Seems like old times.

For whatever reason I stopped reading Star Trek books around the time these were published. I 'think' it's because there were so many cross-over series going on about that time and I couldn't keep up but I don't remember. I just remember I stopped.

It's been a while since I've read those ones of his. I think the ones I wasn't particularly fond of were some of his Star Wars ones. I'm not sure about the Dune ones (The family has all of them, but I don't recall reading the non-Herbert ones)

I finished reading IDW's STTOS: Burden of Knowledge comic book miniseries written by Scott and David Tipton with art by Federica Manfredi miniseries yesterday. It was pretty fun, although the stories weren't as deep as it could have been if it was all one continuous story. I did like the way the last issue circled back to the story from the first. I've liked all of the stuff I've read Tiptons so far.
Manfredi's art was good too, it was fairly stylized, but she still did a good job with the familiar elements, and her likenesses were good.

I've been wanting to read a TOS book in honor of the 50th Anniversary and I finally settled on The Autobiography of James T. Kirk.

I finished Star Trek: Legacies: Captain to Captain by Greg Cox.
I'm now reading Star Trek: Legacies: Best Defense by David Mack.

Ghost Fleet by P. W. Singer.

I'm having some plausability issues with it but it's readable so far
It's a Pacific War scenario between China and the US as China are trying to get resources from the Mariana Trench.
To that end, they've locked the US out of the Pacific by sinking any Nuclear powered Ship/Sub that crosses into the declared DMZ but are leaving the boomers alone for now.
They have a space based laser.
(In novel, they can track any nuclear reactor from orbit)
The US Stealth Jets have been neutralised because the microchips used have been rigged to transmit their location when they receive a signal from Air to Air missiles and they have also taken over Hawaii at this point.
Other Pacific bases have also been knocked out.
Europe won't get involved (except for the UK - who can't send their Carrier as it's part owned by France - and has the microchip problem with its F35s)
Australia is under blockade and so far those are the only allies mentioned
