So What Are you Reading?: Generations

Was waiting on the girlfriend to finish some stuff the other day so we could go out and eat...picked up my battered copy of Vanguard: Harbinger...just to kill a few minutes...you know, not have to fully 'get into the book' since I'd read it back when....

Damned if I didn't get sucked in again. Just an awesome story...re-read the damn thing in a day and a half and am now well into Summon The Thunder and planning on rolling thru the entire series...all other current reading (Stalingrad by Antony Beevor & Make Me by Lee Child)...on hold for the duration.

Vanguard is just some kick-ass good Star Trek!

I finished reading a fiactional storyThe Return by Buzz Aldrin & John Barnes an interesting story about the Aerospace industry companies competing against each other to build the next Space launch vehicles beyond the Space shuttles. There are Spies and sabotage lots of Intrigue .I really enjoyed this novel. I started re- reading Star Trek The Shocks of Adversity by William Leisner

Dark Orbit by Carolyn Ives Gilman. It's a short novel. It was on a lot of Bet of 2015 lists, so I'd figure I'd check it out. It's a light read - kind of similar to Scalzi. I'm about 33% through.

I'm reading and oldie but a goodie, When Worlds Collide. It was written in the 1930s.

Oh, god, I haven't read that in literally decades, as in since grade school. I remember enjoying it on a summer vacation back in the sixties.

I assume you know there's a sequel, "After Worlds Collide."

I just finished the 2378 parts of Ascendance and will resume reading Raise the Dawn.

I read Q Are Cordially Uninvited. It was serviceable. The characters were spot on. I would read the hell out of a Vash series.

Now, I'm going to try to get caught up with my 24th century literature while reading other things. Probably The Red King is up next. I'm way behind on Titan and DS9.

I'm currently reading "Plagues of Night". I've already read the second book, "Raise the Dawn", but couldn't find the first book when I originally bought that.

Since my last post I finished Star Trek: Seekers, 4: All That's Left by Dayton Ward & Kevin Dilmore.
I then read Star Trek: The Original Series: Child of Two Worlds by Greg Cox.
I'm now reading Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: Ascendance by David R. George III.

I finished read Star trek TOS The Shocks of Adversity by William Leisner. I'm now reading Star Trek TOS Allegience in exile by David R.George.
