for my new years resolution, i plan to read all the 24th century books in chronological order thanks to this guy's page: http://killie-booktalk.blogspot.com/p/star-trek-reading-challenge.html with my starting point being Encounter at Farpoint. I started about a week ago, I'm now on The Peacekeepers. It's gonna be one hell of a reading adventure.
I recently read Alas, Babylon by Pat Frank, and Earth Abides. I'm now reading Swan Song.

I think I'm getting more ADHD as I get older.
I read "Native Peoples and Cultures of Canada: An Anthropological Overview" by Alan McMillan (1988) and "Protestant Biblical Interpretation: A Textbook of Hermeneutics" (3rd Rev. Ed.) by Bernard Ramm (1970). I reread through "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" by Mark Twain (Samuel Clemens). And, with completion of "Uncertain Logic" by Christopher L. Bennett, I finished reading Rise of The Federation though a future of more books seems to be promised. With the e-book I was not always certain how many pages remained. Added to the suspense but made me wonder if I would complete the book before end of year. I only read 12 Star Trek books this year. Would like to keep up with publication and read about 24 per year instead. Sigh. But it was nice reading about interpretation of sacred literature in a non-fiction book and a bit about sacred literature in a Star Trek book at the same time. The exercise in consideration of the future of wisdom was interesting. I am not sure yet when or how I might cite source. Tantalizing scents of various major characters were taken in but then I may be conflating more than one sketch. Happy I read the trilogy even if I have not seen the complete series yet. In fact, I am still in Season 3 of TNG too. Recently started going through "Warehouse 13" episodes though. I suppose it is New Year for some people already.

I've got Sacraments of Fire sitting right here in front of me, about to start.
I'm halfway thru the first book in Greg Cox's Q Continuum trilogy which I somehow have never read before. It's really great, lots of fun hijinx with the Q family, great spot on characterizations of the cast and an intriguing story of the Enterprise E attempting to breach the Galactic Barrier.
Thanks! Those are still probably my best-selling STAR TREK books--for which I give all credit to Q.
I don't think I mentioned that I finished the second book in The Maze Runner series, The Scorch Trials. I thought it was a great follow-up to the first book, and I look forward to finishing the trilogy.

Currently enjoying a Sci-Fi classic "The Stars My Destination", by Alfred Bester. I have been reading older science fiction classics many current authors say influenced their writing. I would welcome a few more suggestions
