Finished reading "Maplecroft" by Cherie Priest last night. (I would've finished it earlier, but I kept getting pulled away by manuscripts I had to read for work.) A fun and intriguing book. Think Lizzie Borden a la Lovecraft . . ..

And very different in its portrayal of Lizzie and her associates from the new Lifetime tv series . . .

I started reading the novelization of Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones last week. I honestly didn't realize May the 4th was coming up so soon when I started, but it has turned out to be a very appropriate choice.

I just started the Destiny trilogy by David Mack. Enjoying it so far, though I admit I'm already having a little trouble keeping the Columbia crew members straight in my mind. I expect that'll get easier as the story progresses.

I started reading Crisis of Consciousness by Dave Galanter .I really have liked the story so far. Especially Spock's storyline.

Finished Star Wars Omnibus: Dark Times Volume 2. Never really got in to Dark Times. It was definitely the weakest portion of the Star Wars/ Clone Wars/ Dark Times run.

Now I'm taking a break from scifi and delving into the massive Diary of St. Faustina.

Finished Crisis of Consciousness a couple of days ago.

Now I have decided to finally tackle what I like to call my dead-tree-leftovers (paper books I bought before switching to eBooks which have been gathering dust on my shelf the last few years). All in all about twenty books, mostly tie-ins (Star Trek, Supernatural, Monk, Doctor Who, etc.)and some original stuff (Pratchett, Jasper Fforde, David Mack's The Calling etc.).

First up:
Doctor Who: The Monsters Inside by Stephen Cole.

I'm planning on beginning The Last Hostage by John J. Nance this evening.

I'm almost halfway through I am Spock. It's very interesting and I'm enjoying it a lot.

Finally sat down and read the STAR TREK/PLANET OF THE APES crossover in its entirety. I particularly liked the conflict between Kirk and Taylor, which is not a sentence I ever thought I'd type.

Too bad we'll never actually see it performed by William Shatner and Charlton Heston!

Since I finally want to get into the habbit of writing reviews more regularly again I want to tackle those books first that are eligible for Unreality SF, but can't quit decide what to read next. So any recommendations on what to start with from the list below?

If so, maybe you have your settings set to only show you threads with posts in a certain timeframe (i.E. last 30 days)? That thread didn't had a post in about two months so it wouldnt show up.

(If you are on the front page of the TrekLit section there's a bar with Display options beneath the list of threads where you can set which threads are shown.)

Enjoy it. It was great. It´s a crying shame that it wasn´t translated in German, but I´ve read it nonetheless.

I especially liked "Kai" Weyoun on one of the covers.
