All enemies we've seen before, countless times, how about this for the villains in the next movie?
The Gorn!

I thin k this would be a pretty cool idea. We rarely see "the threat from the inside" in star trek. It would be cool seeing it on the big screen.I think it would be interesting to see villains approached from a completely different angle. Maybe a threat from within the Federation. They should make the new villain (or villains) a lot more sympathetic and less of a moustache-twirling/revenge seeking maniac (we can leave that to Star Wars). Maybe some threat that arises as a direct result of the destruction of Vulcan. Perhaps something similar to the Maquis-heroes to some criminals to others.

True, Cardassians were the major villain on DS9, but I always thought it'd be cool to see how Kirk and company dealt with them.
Cylons!

And they have a plan!
To have sex with as much of humanity as possible before destroying the Earth.
