I worked on a few.Duuuude....I had no idea you worked on video games at one point! That's so cool!
Plus, I'm low key jealous that you had Tom Baker involved in your work. I'm barely a casual fan of Doctor Who, but Tom Baker is my favorite Doctor.![]()

I worked on a few.

Ah, the DS9 game (shudder). I can really only take credit for the Saratoga level of the game, as I walked away from it after that due to conflicts with the intractable producer. I was brought back a year later to help fix it, but I never liked the level design much in the bulk of the game, most of which I found tired and rote.OKAY, the fact that you worked on the DS9 Sega Genesis game is incredible. I used to do MS Paint photo manipulations a few years back mashing up Starfleet character sprites from that game with the ones from Super Metroid for the SNES (I've always thought the Metroid series could easily cross over with Star Trek).![]()
Thanks. You do good work, and have a great eye for detail
One good thing about ENT is they showed the Xindi-Aquatics and somewhat how their ships work.

Only for Earth speakers, why would nonhumans use an ancient Earth language to describe themselves? And what's the scientific designation of humanoid species like Vulcans, Betazoids, Bajorans, Klingons etc? Homo Vulcanis/Beazoidis/etc?
ProtocolWhy would a dolphin need to wear a uniform? Underwater, it would seem to be of little value.
I love all the Uplift books, and Sundiver has become one of his more popular works, though he readily admits it wasn't as good as his later work. I had a good time listening to the audiobook version years after reading the novel.I think that it would be cool if Starfleet ships on the scale of the Enterprise had cetaceans onboard for both navigation and diplomatic purposes. Like a large frontier explorer never knows when they'll run into an aquatic species that is not capable of easy communication or interaction with land-based species.
Off-topic, but does the Uplift series get good? I could not finish Sundiver. Like I read all but the last 20 pages and decided that I would not give the book the dignity of finishing it.
Oh, nice. That book had potential. But the prose was gurgh. And then in the last couple chapters when we find out that the whole mysterious personality thing that Demwa had going on was nothing? I didn't like that. IIRC Brin just writes, Jacob had an active imagination.I love all the Uplift books, and Sundiver has become one of his more popular works, though he readily admits it wasn't as good as his later work. Brin currently has an updated version of sundiver out and is apparently updating and re-releasing the rest of the series as he has re-acquired the rights.
