So I have FINALLY started watching Enterprise... love it so far!!

Enterprise is underrated as a whole. Seasons 1 and 2 are certainly underrated. I enjoyed them. But dang...end of season 2 and all of season 3...woweee! I LOVED it! :techman: I also loved season 4 (minus TATV), but I'm one of "those" who loved season 3 the most. :)

I enjoy seasons 1 & 2 but to me season 3 was the best. I don't particularly dislike the fourth season but it is my least favorite.

I am touched by how many people have come back and given it a fresh look after wandering off and love it now. That's what happened to me. I remember a few times in Season 4 thinking "this is the best Star Trek has to offer".

Awesome stuff!!

I'm with dub; I like S3 the best, with S4 second. S2 and S1 are tied for third and that's not intended to be a slam on them.

I miss this forum so much! I've only completed the first 2 seasons, then cheery picked episodes from seasons 3 and 4 (Hubby got bored with the series, then decided he just didn't like it...so getting TV time to watch it has been impossible :(

Its hard to post when I feel I can't add anything intelligent to the conversation.

I miss you guys!

And I hope you get to watch the rest of it! I envy you, having unwatched Star Trek!

My story with Enterprise starts with the abuse it received on various forums I read. I'd been watching TNG and a little of TOS since the '90s, but I'd never opened myself up to other Trek. Of course I was aware of Voyager and DS9, but I'd never heard of Enterprise. However, when I started reading message boards, I was shocked at the vitriol directed at this strange series named Enterprise and a silly and annoying Captain named Archer. Curiosity drove me to check them out, and so my journey begun in January of 2011. I later came to the conclusion that it is the second best Trek series (I've since seen DS9, TOS and part of the horrible series that is Voyager). As a result of my love for Enterprise, this thread makes for the best reading here.

I've been following this thread since it was started. Whenever the OP said something along the lines of "season one/two is incredible," I'd think to myself,"wait 'till you hit season 3. You'll shit yourself, I kid you not!" The third season, for me, is up their with the best of any Trek season. It just absolutely grips ones attentions. Season four, as good as it is, just doesn't match it.

Voyager is not a horrible series.

It was the whipping boy for haterade for years, and then ENT arrived and took its place. It's unfortunate when people can't just have preferences in Star Trek and have to actually hate parts of it.

I may just have to do that! I know we're all pretty good at wondering off on tangents!

I will get to watch it someday. As soon as I can get myself a new laptop that has enough power to stream from Netflix properly I'm in!

Also I think this and the VOY forum are super friendly, I hope you post more!! Because your posts are definitely a part of that in ENT.

Sorry, Teacake :(

Absolutely not. The most fun rewatching for me.

I can understand not liking a series. What gets me is people who claim to like a series, but absolutely hate several of its key characters or components. :cardie:

That doesn't seem to be true with Enterprise.. People either enjoyed it, hated it, didn't watch it, or watched part of it and stopped (I feel sorry for those people the most)!

I used to think Voyager was a horrible series. Then one day I realized I actually liked the series and many of the characters on it. The Doctor is one of my all time fav Trek characters.

No I realized that Voyagers wasn't a horrible series, Janeway was a horrible captain! Loved the person of Janeway, but man oh man! did she many some at best questionable decisions. At worst, down right stupid!

Oh and I guess so long as I done made the Voy fans mad I might as well jump all in and ask a question. Am I the only one who saw the writing of the shield strength all the way through the series as all over the place? Typical example: They take two hits and shields are down to 60%. (Ouch couple of BIG hits) Then they get hammered on for 2 minutes of expository (Oh I dunno lets call it an even 10 shots to be generous) and shields are down to 45%. In episode after episode the shields lost approx. half of their effectiveness in a few short shots then miraculously always held out without ever totally going down under repeated assault!

Its glaring when you watch a bunch of episodes binging )

What exactly does this have to do with the topic of this thread?
