No whining here. I just made the decision from what I heard that I didn't want the game. It does strike me as kinda stupid that they didn't have the servers set up to handle capacity. You can't tell me they didn't see the demand coming.

And apparently South Korea doesn't take kindly to Blizzards shenanigans.

I don't understand the whining about online only, Blizzard announced this almost a year ago and people complain like they had no idea, check out meta critic you see "reviews" where people claimed that Blizzard "tricked" them into buying the game. The fact is that people should have known about online only and if they don't they've been living under a rock.

Perhaps people thought that "online only" means some connection check when you start the game or you have to be connected in order to play, but the game info is on your computer, and not what it ended up to be.

I knew what I was buying and how will it work, but I didn't think that it will be that bad. The game is basically unplayable from where I live most of the time, I have to connect through proxy, the dorms where I currently live have a terrible internet connection (slow, frequent disconnects and such), and all of that results in 600 ms and higher latencies. Yeah, I should've thought twice before buying it.

When I can actually play the game, it's nice. It isn't Diablo 2 and I find it far less addictive, but it looks good on max settings. I don't like the new skill system and the loot drops seem to be worse than in Diablo 2 (perhaps making people look for better gear on AH). I got to the boos of Act 2 on Nightmare with Wizard, got stuck there and don't feel like trying to overcome this obstacle. Instead, I started to play with Monk.

When the game works, I'd rate it 6.5/10.
