Snow?

There's been an inch or two of snow since this morning. It hasn't snowed since, but it's cold enough for any snow to hang around. No biggie, though.

We've had about six inches or so. It's stopped right now, but I expect it'll either snow more - or freeze.

Snowing right now. Been snowing all day long. We have about 20 cm on the ground, and it will probably freeze overnight. Oh joy.

Snowing round here right now. There's been a couple of inches today. We've had more snow this winter than we have had in probably decades.

We've also had snow. In fact, the original snow hasn't completely melted, and by the time New Year came along, we got more snow. I'll bet that will still be around come the weekend.

Yes, there has been a fairly good snowfall today. Negligible before today. Hopefully more tomorrow. I think only once in my childhood have I experienced snow thicker than this.

My street suffers from the snow very badly. Being two to three junctions away from a main road, it gets next to no gritting. Also, being near the top of a hill and shaded from the sun by the terraced houses, as well as being at a relatively higher altitude from most of the rest of the city, the snow presents here first of all, and the colder temperatures mean ice forms more quickly and it melts very slowly. Finally, having to climb up slopes during the snowy periods means plenty of skidding and risk of slipping downhill when the ice comes in.

What is with the multiple threads about the weather?

We're British ~ we have nothing else to talk about :guffaw:

I hate it, I nearly slid, in the car, headfirst into a lamppost last week on black ice. :wtf:

Not happy with this weather, want to be in the sun *sulks*

^My niece slipped while crossing the road, hurt her hip and sprained her knee, my dad and brother have both gone on their arses too.

Plus if we all stop talking about the weather, our brains will start sending out our deepest and most intimate thoughts to one another telepathically, so we need something to drown out the noise. :guffaw:

Me, I've just come back from the shops having discovered that the snow has started up again - about 3 inches in the last 2 hours or so. The shops were almost empty - a bit like that scene from "28 Days Later..." but with people. :bolian:

The few schools that where open have shut.
One bus company stopped running altogether and after the car had to be shoved back down the street my mum decided not to risk her life so e-on could have clean offices.

had our snow last month..it's melted, and now we are above the fog-line, so we are warmer than Sacramento..a rare thing...

Yeah, we have snow. Probably between half a metre and a metre on the ground. Pretty much par for the course for early January.

I'm sick of snow.

We got snow, a blizzard, on Christmas Eve here and it ammounted to around 6" of snow or snow, drifting. Since then there's been a couple 2"-3" snows from time to time and it's all piled up as the temps have been below freezing ever since. We're now expecting another 4" or so of snow tomorrow afternoon/night before going into a severe cold snap granting as wonderful high of 0 on Friday and negative double-digit windchills.

That's a high of 0 degrees Fahrenheit on Friday. What kind of world do I live in when the high is going to be 0 degrees?

Since December 5th we've had over 2 feet of snow, and it is still snowing right now, another 3-5 inches by tomorrow, and another heavy snow in the forecast for Thursday-Saturday, almost every day has snow in the forecast through early next week.
