Those words have defined Brian and Kelly's Smallville tenure. Sigh.

^ Despite the fact that the real Zod is already in the Phantom Zone and this is a clone of Zod? Sigh. Or are they trying to infer the Callum Blue Zod we're going to see is the real deal Zod? Either way this sounds like a waste of time.
If only all the big bads from seasons past somehow come back to form a Legion of Doom of sorts to face against Smallville's version of Justice League. I think the world would be doomed, no pun intended.

Everyone was wanting them to use Darkseid as the final villain but because of their lack of execution and constant need to write stupid, useless filler episodes, something that should have actually been epic has failed big time. Maybe we'll luck out and the finale will be something special and worth watching but I have serious doubts.
If only Smallville was on cable with 12 to 13 episodes. They would be forced to have a tighter writing style.

I haven't. I honestly don't know why they even bothered with Darkseid this season...the whole "kitchen sink" thing was a clear indicator they wouldn't be able to do Darkseid justice.
Absolutely none. Then again he's just now appearing amidst Lionel, so we should be seeing how his personality will be. I really hope they make him a separate entity from Lionel though and not using him as a vessel. That would be such a cop out. They should have at the very least gave him more of a presence but still made him a looming force behind the scenes. I just feel like they've wasted there time on so much other stuff and not kept the momentum going with Darkseid. It's like they will yet again fall under their formula of forming the story arc later in the season and rush it at the end.

They seem to be building up the CGI on Darkseid every time...I am not a fan of him using a vessel...I thought they were looking to cast someone as Darkseid but they may go full CGI.

Yep. I too have felt no threat whatsoever from Darkseid. No build up of expected doom and gloom. No major event that is gonna require Superman to stop it. Just nothing. I will say that the CGI has improved too like Jet says. I have a feeling Darkseid fully realized is gonna suck.
