SMALLVILLE Winter Hiatus Thread *Spoilers!*

Status
Not open for further replies.
The only person who is going to be surprised is Rosey when he wakes up in his trailer and the Dorks try to convince him that the last three years have been a dream.

Considering how absent of merit his last three years have been maybe, just perhaps, he might play along.

Keck's Exclusives: Smallville Heads to Sin City
"It's our fun Hangover episode," says executive producer Brian Peterson. "Clark won't remember what happened the night before." With Supes impervious to the effects of alcohol, it's a spiked bottle of champagne sent by Zatanna that sparks the insanity. "You see the wild side of everybody," adds exec producer Kelly Souders, who hints at a big OMG moment involving Tess and Dr. Emil.

 Be sure to read it all.

There is a pic of Erica. ;) This is about Episode #10-15: "Fortune"

I don't know... If it weren't for the fact this is Ally's last ep, I could see myself skipping this one.

What's next? Darkseid appearing at a SV Halloween party singing 'Monster Mash'?

Well let's look at what we got so far...

"Collateral"
CHLOE SULLIVAN RETURNS TO SMALLVILLE — Clark (Tom Welling), Oliver (Justin Hartley), Lois (Erica Durance) and Dinah (guest star Alaina Huffman)are released by the VRA after being captured at Hawkman’s funeral but each of them have flashbacks of Chloe (Allison Mack) holding them against their will. When Chloe returns, Dinah warns the others that Chloe may now be a traitor. Oliver dismisses her concerns but Clark is unsure if he can trust Chloe after she disappeared without an explanation. Posted on KryptonSite. Cassidy Freeman also stars. Morgan Beggs directed the episode written by Jordan Hawley.

Yawn.

"Beacon"
MARTHA KENT COMES HOME — Clark (Tom Welling) is surprised to see Martha (Annette O’Toole) on the news speaking at a pro-vigilante rally. However, surprise quickly turns to horror when he and Lois (Erica Durance) watch as Martha gets shot on national television. Meanwhile, Lionel (John Glover) reveals himself to the world and reclaims LuthorCorp from Tess (Cassidy Freeman) and Oliver (Justin Hartley). Lois and Chloe (Allison Mack) decide to cheer Clark up by showing him videos from thousands of vigilante supporters professing their support for The Blur. Videos were created and submitted by actual Smallville fans. Posted on KryptonSite. Mike Rohl directed the episode written by Don Whitehead & Holly Henderson (#3X6013).

More yawn.

"Masquerade"
CHLOE AND OLIVER ARE KIDNAPPED - Chloe (Allison Mack) and Oliver (Justin Hartley) are mistaken for FBI agents investigating Desaad's (guest star Steve Byers) recent string of murders and the pair are kidnapped by Desaad's minions. Desaad tries to infect Chloe with the darkness. Meanwhile, Lois (Erica Durance) tells Clark (Tom Welling) he needs to be more careful with his identity and suggests a disguise. Posted on KryptonSite. Tim Scanlan directed the episode written by Bryan Q. Miller (#3X6014).

What is this the 1st half of S8?

"Fortune"
The gang heads to Las Vegas and encounters Amos Fortune, who owns a casino there. Amos Fortune is a character from DC Comics first introduced from 1961.
- The characters end up in a situation where they can't remember what happened the night before. A spiked bottle of champagne sparks the insanity.
- There is a "big OMG moment" between Tess and Dr. Emil.
- "We all wake up in different places in bizarre situations involving weird outfits and animals," Erica Durance says. "I wake up out on the train tracks with Oliver and realize I can't find my engagement ring."

Unofficial description...are they serious??? It is ep 15 of S10!

"Scion"
John Glover has been spotted on set in a scene set in a graveyard, so it's safe to assume that he is indeed in this episode, as was originally rumored.
- Expect this episode to be Luthor-heavy.

Meh.

"Booster"
We're hearing that one story beat of "Booster" might involve Clark learning how to be a little more "mild-mannered" when he's not being Super.

Seems like an exciting ep on the surface with Blue Beetle & Booster Gold in the mix.

"Kent"
Nada...Rumor is U-Clark or that alternate U might play a role.

Hope not...been there...done that...let's move on.

Sometime within the last 5 eps Zod & Kara return.

We might get that 2 Hour Finale...but still almost all the eps mentioned so far sound like filler eps. :sigh:

Grrr...seriously this show has totally lost me with it's well sheer patheticness. So let me guess what the OMG moment is going to be between Emil and Tess. Both of them get hammered while trying to help out Clark on something the writers are trying to make amusing but isn't and they sleep together. Sigh.

Okay now they're just sleep walking to the finish line.

"Eh we've had ten year's, why not just half ass our way to the finale? It's not like they're going to cancel us."

^ Now do people realize why I'm uninterested in the second half? "Booster" is clearly the only thing that looks decent.

It will be nice to see what happens with the Luthors in "Scion" and "Masquerade" has Desaad & his minions.

But it clearly seems they are gonna to try and wrap up the season and the series in the last 4 eps which is a tall order...I think we will get 3 regular type of eps for 19, 20 & 21 and hopefully ep 22 will be a 2 hour finale and not ep 21 & 22.

[edit] Another thing we can do is get our Series Finale predictions together and I will make a thread with a poll and that should carry us till May.

List 3 predictions you have for the finale. :)

-Clark WILL wear the suit and become Superman BEFORE the finale
-The fight with Darkseid will not happen in the finale
-Chloe's fate will be clear in the final episode

Erica Durance says she wants a wedding(Clois)...but TPTB have been reluctant to go there...I think it will happen.

Wait...Kelly and Brian are RELUCTANT about a plot device?? Holy shit, someone call the presses!!! Honestly a Lois and Clark wedding would only give them a chance to include some kind of bullshit shenanigans. Zod will appear and demand that Lois KNEEL before him!!! :guffaw:

I think the PSW want to keep it a secret till it happens...Erica...not so much.

[edit] Seriously, this is a big S10/Series event.

I have thought since the the Pilot that this show would would never have a satisfying ending. While the show has changed cast and crew over the years its never had any idea where they were going. "Superman" has always been to the various "Powers That Be" simply the costume and the ability to fly.

They never had many ideas of how to explore Clark's development. So the show was about everyone else around him. Even than its clear they had no specific ideas for the other characters endpoints either. Beyond the vague "Luthor=Enemy", "Lois=Lover", variety. Yet the original characters like Chloe, which they have something of a blank check, have fared just as bad.

Smallville is being very consistent to its track record to the end.

^
Agreed.

Smallville for me would be a guilty pleasure...but I got nothing else. :sigh:

I remember a collaborative Smallville fanfiction that originated on TWOP called Castville, wherein basically the cast members ran the show after all the writers quit or something. It started off much more enjoyable than the show but eventually there was just so much shit happening it got way too convoluted to follow and I gave up (pretty much the opposite reason I gave up on Smallville proper). Shame really, they tackled Darkseid pretty well until then.

Well some could say "Castville" is happening right now with Tom Welling being a hands on producer and seemingly co-show runnerr ;)
