Smallville Summer Hiatus Thread III (Spoilers)

^

Gotta agree with you on that Jet, I always felt that the scenes with Schneider and Welling were among the best in the annals of Smallville, so I'm looking forward to Jon's return as well.

A few random things:

1. Michael McKeon won the Jeopardy! Celebrity Tournement.

2. Currently reading John Byrne's six part 'Man of Steel'. I can see where it influenced the show to some small degree (no pun intended!)

3. Thanks again to Jetfire for the new av. :techman:

My wife found the previous one 'disturbing'.

In fairness, being the celebrity to win the Jeopardy! Celebrity Tournament is like being the only adult who knows how to spell his or her name. ;)

I'll have to check out that John Bryne series one of these days. Recently, I've been reading "Superman Last Family of Krytpon" an elseworld tale where Jor-El and Lara accompanied their son to Earth. It's a terrific read and young Jor-El/Clark is drawn to look like Tom Welling. Except this Clark isn't a douche. ;)

^ Oooh I was wondering if anyone else was reading this, I think it's excellent. Also have been wondering "The Big Bang Theory" lately (first time in a long time and it's now among my favorite shows) and think that Kaley Cuoco would make a fantastic Power Girl.

‘Smallville’s’ Aquaman says final season ‘breaks the rules’ (Spoilers)

Can I say? Am I allowed to say? I think they might be breaking some rules this season. Some of those hardset rules. I think they might be breaking some rules. I don’t know,” he laughed. “I might get shot now before I get to Vancouver to shoot this. But that’s the word on the street.”

This guy is worse than Brian & Kelly.

Okay I've revised my statement...that wasn't half bad but it's not Emmy worthy like one poster stated in the comments below it lol. She is pretty. She doesn't look old enough to be Erica Durance and Peyton List's mom. Also discovered another continuity flaw while looking up her profile on Smallville Wiki, and while under the influence she calls Lucy to tell her she's getting married but this is impossible since Lucy has been in hiding since season four and Lois would have had to found her and get her number. Another key element the writers forgot. I wonder if General Lane's appearance will have something to do with him finding her?

Well, to be fair, we shouldn't assume that everything that happens to Lois is portrayed in the show. Presumably Lucy has been found, which makes sense given who her father is.

It must be for a flashback since Lois's mother is dead.

I know he was joking around but what rules did he break and what rules is he referring to? "No Flights, No Tights?" or "We can do whatever the fuck we want because this is our show now" rules?

Remember though that AC has basically acted like a pirate in the past by attacking LuthorCorp holdings and he came into morale conflict with Clark and really, really pissed off Lex. On retrospect Arthur can be a dark character when he's motivated by something he's passionate about, but of course the PSW would interpret this characteristic as being dark.

Well apparently the PSW & Alan Ritchson see his past actions as bubble gum??? So will he become Batman of the Sea???

[edit] Do they not know what they are doing???

Jet you know that question answers its self. I was thinking how cool it would have been in the Aquaman spin off or even in Smallville if Mera were introduced, Emma Stone would be my pick to play young Princess Mera but that would never happen now she's a huge movie star.

I think the biggest thing Aquaman did in the comics was to forbid the Japanese (yes, all of them.)from entering the sea after "they" killed the Dolphin who raised him.

though, BLUE MOUNTAIN STATE!!!!

Pete Ross thought he was becoming a shitty football player so he broke into Aquaman's room and stole his steroids. It wasn't till after he shot himself up in the ass that he discovered that Aquaman doesn't take steroids to keep him fresh during the big game.

It was rabies.

Sam looked like Wolverine on heat.

Who would think a shitty little comedy would raise the bar so much for these smallville Alumni?
