Clark is awake though...pretty sure I remember seeing his eyes open when he was falling. Now that it's been suggested yeah I could see Clark dying and then being resurrected by Apokoliptan technology and having an inner struggle (stop struggling with yourself Clark damn it) which requires the wise sage Jonathon Kent to help him out of it.

Pa Kent played the little bad on this weeks Leverage. A corrupt country and western musician manager who has to be taken down to help some adorable little blonde girl. Just watched it. The music video (pisstake?) they had him mock up against was dreadfully funny with all the eagles and flags and blatant propaganda.

I read in ep 2 there maybe a flashback where we see Hawkman & Hawkgirl...it is over at Kryptonsite.

Maybe Adam Brody will reprise his role as Justin Gaines in the premier...an old enemy coming back etc.

UPDATED 7/19/10: KryptonSite can confirm that Michael Shanks will be appearing as Hawkman in this episode.
- It seems they might be casting the role of "Shayera" aka Hawkgirl for this episode, though this has not been confirmed by the studio, nor are we 100% sure this is for "Shield." Read the speculation at Rumorville.

UPDATED 7/14/10: Title Revealed. Please do not re-post without a LINK to KryptonSite and acknowledging the source.
- A really annoying-seeming character named "Nancie" who has a son is in this episode. She comes to work at the Daily Planet, and she seems to be filling in while Lois is... where? We don't know. At one point she listens on the radio to someone named "Godfrey," which could be a reference to Glorious Godfrey of Darkseid lore. The radio "Godfrey" has a thing against "the hero menace," much like he did in the 1980's Legends comic book series.
- A character from the comics who works at the Daily Planet and at one point had a young son is Cat Grant. Could "Nancie" be a "Cassie/Zatanna, Melissa/Maxima" like diversion?
- The episode also includes a modern day cowboy named Liam who's gunning after Clark Kent - and a woman with the ability to teleport.

If they cast Sheyera I call dibs on her before the rest of you hogs...and Godfrey sounds interesting. I never read the Legends event but know of it. This is sounding more and more like they're adapting Final Crisis with some other events inserted for fun. For some reason I don't think we're going to see the Legion return but maybe this is just far too early for me to start mourning them.

I don't really see Lexa as Hawkgirl...she could make a good Lori Lemaris if the writers wanted to use her as someone Superman fans would know.

I actually liked Mia(Speedy)/Elise Gatien...so that is 3 for me...Tess, Stargirl & Mia(Speedy).

So considering when Hawkgirl died... either you need a much younger actress than Lexa or they were acting out the Super Graduate... Which has to happen now and then that they don't always get resurrected in sync.
