I did get to watch this episode at least; unfortunately my internet connection went out due to the extreme heat we've been having :(.

I'll be here next week though - Martha Kent's back!

Clark is actually the villain this season.

There's no other possible explination.

And everyone being able to fly but him is just so pathetic at this point.

^ Agreed regarding the flight abilities.

"I've had my Kryptonian powers for five minutes and I can fly Clark, why can't you?"

Darth Pipes aren't you devious tonight with your comments but since Baseball has pre empted its best you read my comments tomorrow OK.

My two cents with two episodes to go I vote for Sen M.Kent for Red Queen of Checkmate.
I can't wait for next weeks episode eventhough it's US premier of IRON MAN 2 at the Bengies drive in movie theater of which I'm going next Saturday night. now I loved the catfight between Chloe and Tess but Ollie verses Zod that is recipe for GA to be serious hurt by Zod, and Kal-El/Clark is wavering between defending Earth against Zod and trying to keep this peace between Kryptonians as well as humans.

Well till next week same Smallville Channel Same Smallville Time in my neck of the woods
Signed

Buck Rogers

I gotta admit I actually like Zod more than Clark. The whole "let my enemies fester because I want to be a goody two shoes" thing is annoying.

Zod dont play by those rules and that is why I like him better. Checkmate was out to destroy him and his people so he did what made sense, kill them all and destroy their facilities. All Clark wanted to do was play footsies with them.

Clark needs to grow a pair, but we all know that aint going to happen that is why he has had all the trouble with the various reoccuring criminals in his history.

Well I just saw it and all I gotta say is that this season has been relatively disappointing and inconsistent in my opinion. I vote Clark Kent for this one. Clark mentions to Ollie that the Kandorians represent his first real chance for Kryptonian family? Has he forgotten his cousin Kara already? The plot with Chloe and Tess being locked down in Watchtower was fun and I thought that when the security scan scanned Chloe that I noticed Oracle's symbol??? Right at the end? I'm still looking forward to the finale and next week's episode...so the promo gave away the Red Queen and it is Martha? The score was great in this episode though.

One thing I noticed...
Justin Hartley (Oliver Queen) was a co-writer of the teleplay or story. When the heck did hey start letting the actors write the script for this show?
2nd...
I remember reading somewhere that the best way to do Superman is to de-power him. But usually they do it in a creative way in the comics and movies. But to use Duche-baggerie to de-power clark is a lame cop-out. Clark wont help because he sees good in ZOD. Gimme a Break. Im only watching this show for the same reason I watched Heroes. To see how TV should NOT be written. To complain with every stupid story telling mistake they come up with. This show is a JOKE...

Justin Hartley is credited with co writing the story and I believe the screenplay as well...along with two of the other show writers so it's not as if Justin wrote the episode himself, contributed to the story yes.

^^ Watching a show just to bitch and complain is...weird even with all my problems with Smallville over the last couple of years I still watch because I find some of the things they do entertaining. My primary problem with the show is the inconsistent writing combined with the fact that it should have ended about three seasons ago.
