^ I must've missed that but yeah I'm realizing that the stand in must be him. Also does anyone think that Chloe actually remembers Clark being an alien or was she talking about something else? She didn't actually say it when he asked her.
I actually noticed how vague her statements were, and I think it's cool we have no idea. But in general I think it's safe to assume that this is just a Voyager-style reset and Clark can just mull over in private what an ass he was to play god with her head.^ I must've missed that but yeah I'm realizing that the stand in must be him. So then why a Superman fan? He his the ultimate white hat of the 20th century. That's how he's always been and always will be.
Comic books are the mythological fairy tales of this era. All comic book heroes (Yes, even the Marvel ones.) are "white hats." Except, Supes reigns supreme and is at the very top of that list.
He is the quintessential do-gooder and beacon of light and hope. There is no middle ground or shades of gray with him. Every other comic hero, from Bats to Manhunter to Captain America to Spidey, has some wiggle room, but not Superman. He is the truest of the true.
And, anytime someone has tried to change that, it's been recieved very negitivly. People like him just the way he is. He is a pillar of hope, not just in his fictional universe, but in the real one as well. People like that.
People like that, while it is true things never go "your way" and decisions have "repurcussions," they don't for Superman. In the end he always finds a way to do the right thing. That's what makes him Superman and that's why he brings hope.
That was the point of the Superman movie, and that was the point of the episode. And, as I said, it was one of the few things it got right.
Someone has to kill Chloe and inspire Clark to fly. Why not a Kryptonian death machine?
Well I keep thinking that Chloe either a) Just becomes known as Chloe Olsen and leaves Metropolis after divorcing Jimmy and sorta doesn't stick around for the 'Superman' era. b) Has a falling out with Clark after he starts dating Lois. c) She goes to the 31st Century d) she gets stuck in the Bottle City of Kandor.
Or... they retcon her into the Superman mythology and be done with it! I like Chloe more than Lois honestly.
He's not Superman yet.
This is the story of him becoming Superman. "Legion" was a milestone for him, where he finally came out and acted as the man he will become, not the boy he was.
I'm giving this an average.
For one thing, I need to stop watching it after Battlestar Galactica. Chloe's new look was interesting.
^You are right, your opinion of me doesn't really make much difference to me.
Battlestar Galactica is vastly superior to this show in every way imaginable. This episode was average.

Battlestar Galactica is the most overrated piece of crap ever conceived.
