SleepyTrek: what ep puts you to sleep?

Most of the really boring episodes of Trek are courtesy of TNG, much as I love the show.

"The Loss" (Well, nearly every Troi episode. And I actually like the character.)

"Night Terrors" (The insomnia episode. Let the irony sink in. )

"Transfigurations"

Much of Season 7, but especially the one where Troi starts hallucinating the old murder in the warp nacelle.

TOS's "The Empath"

To be honest I've seen all treks so many times I could fall asleep to any of them, and do, often .

The Alternative Factor. This episode is the stuff that weird dreams are made of. I first saw it many years ago when I was having a fever and I kept nodding off. Those solarized scenes in the corridor were just trippy, and when Lazarus kept falling down that cliff it felt like I was caught in a time loop.

Most eps are too short for me to fall asleep on, but Encounter at Farpoint will do the trick.

TMP. I've never been able to watch the DVD in one sitting.

I love DS9, but it has three of the most boring eps of Trek: Melora, Profit and Loss, and A Simple Investigation. Haven't been able to sit through any of them more than once.

TNG has a few real snoozers like that too...Aquiel, Realm of Fear, and The Masterpiece Society come to mind.

Definitely ENT's "Carbon Creek." All monotone characters for an hour in a predictable and incredibly slow-moving story, no thanks. Then it got nominated for a Hugo...shows what I know.

I like the orgasm scene, but you can keep the rest of that stinking pile of poo of an episode. Even Gates McFadden hates it.
