Sleepy Hollow Season 2 Discussion

^^ Agreed.. I wonder if they are setting him up to be an eventual love interest for Abby since Crane is still very married and his wife is now back in the "real world"...

Still though, I really don't like the character as he seems to serve nothing more than plot convenience. One hopes the true reason he's there is more than just a discount Indiana Jones or a foil for Abby's affections.

Given Crane's opinion of Hawley "privateer, retrobate" I'm sure he'd have a few words to say if Abbie got the hots for them man.

Also noticed there have been few slips of Loo-tenant instead of Left-tenant. Probably wouldn't have been so noticable if it wasn't the basis for Abbie, lopping the head of the false Crane in pergatory.

Tonight's episode: La_Llorona

Now who would have thought Ichabod's betrothed Mary would be the legendary Weeping Woman of Sleepy Hollow? What was more surprising was that Katrina knew what happened to Mary but kept it a secret from her beloved Ichabod. I kind of got the feeling the writers used this plot to drive a wedge between Crane and Katrina. And perhaps somewhere down the road, if the couple drifted apart, Crane would end up with Abbie.

What say you?

As horrible has him and Abbie being together would be it's clear that's the plan to me.

However his wife has been a liar the whole show, as Ichabod has shown.

I've always kind of assumed that Abbie and Ichabod would end up together, which is more than fine with me.

Miss Caroline, nooooo!!!! We hardly knew ye.

Really, it would've been better if this hadn't been Caroline's second appearance, but she was just so darn adorable and sweet that I really felt her loss. I guess I can identify with Ichabod feeling that he has few friends and cherishes the ones he has, so I can identify with how much her loss hurt him. (Besides, who's going to make clothes for him now?)

The actress who played Miss Caroline is also Raj's girlfriend on Big Bang, and one of the rotating interns on Bones. Busy girl!!

That would explain why she seemed so familiar. I was disapointed to see her go, she was a fun character.
I liked the bit of backstory we got with Mary.
I kind of hope they don't break her and Ichabod up. This was all just a manipulation on Henry's and Abraham's part, so hopefully once they realize that they'll work out the issues and stay together.
As much as I love the Ichabod/Abbie relationship, I don't know if I'd want to see them get together.
As for Hawely being a potential love interest for Abbie, after that last scene find it doubtful.

Oh, I think that last scene makes it all the more inevitable. How can they resist adding to the sisters' issues by having them both get mixed up with the same guy?

At the moment, they seem to be going for a Han Solo/Princess Leia vibe with Hawley and Abbie. Remember, Leia spent most of the first two SW movies giving Han a hard time about being a mercenary who was only out for himself . . . and we all remember how that turned out.

I think they will have Abbie fall for Ichabod and play on the "unspoken" love thing for quite awhile---but I would they didn't. It would be nice to once, just once, have a network show where the male and female leads can just be friends and partners, NOT romantically involved.

However his wife has been a liar the whole show, as Ichabod has shown.

Ichabod listed the lies Katrina said/omitted. But he referred to his son as "Henry" and not "Jeremy." I guess Ichabod thinks of him as Henry.

I think there were three lies by Katrina (witch, Jeremy, Mary). All she did against Abraham was dump him.

They're definitely leading up to Katrina/Abraham. I just want them to ease up on Hawley. Not fond of him being so damn convenient all the time.

And I agree with the theory that Ichabod himself is the Horseman of Death and that the witnesses are Jenny and Abigail.

And WHERE IS ORLANDO JONES?! He needs to be back on the action.

Still like it more than I should. Very rich texture long as it serves whatever plot is ongoing, but still. Chemistry is there, although too many cooks in the kitchen might be brewing here.

This show and Gotham--give some dimensionality to the evil-doers. Do gooders are always easy to portray it seems.

Come on, people, let's have a little love for Romance. :rommie:

Besides, whatever the case with other shows, Abbie and Ichabod are so perfect together. I don't even care if there's a story-- I just like watching them interact. And it has nothing at all to do with them reminding me of a, uh, personal situation. :D

I like that they are starting to hint at a darkness in Katrina. That is the only way this totally bland character is going to become at all interesting. Until this episode I felt like she would just bring the show to a crawl, if not a dead stop.

I'm not convinced that she and Crane were ever really "in love". I think she was so involved in her quest to find the Witness and ensure that he did his job that she would do whatever was necessary to make that happen.

The most convenient way to help sway a persons beliefs/actions is to be an important part of his/her life. I think it was "convenient" for her to marry Crane. I also think that the powerful witch used an enchantment spell on Crane to make sure the marriage happened and she had a way to make sure that she could make the Witness reach his potential.

However, over time (and with Moloch's constant manipulation) Katrina's obligation to her quest has wavered. She is now letting her darker nature come forward.

At least, I hope that is what is happening! If she doesn't go dark I will be very, very bored every moment she is on screen.

I think this maybe the first show where the bad guys are actually as smart as the good guys. That the bad guys have a plan and aren't bumbling their way through it. I think this among the many other reasons is why I love this show so much.
