    Read it and vent! :D

So peanut gallery, whatcha think? Any bets on what might turn out worthwhile? Best case/worst case scenarios? Any stabs at fantasy casting?

Overall...I'd rather they air that Revolution pilot.

I was hoping to see a date of April 1st on that news article.
    Wow, these sound terrible.

Claudia black to star in orion and maybe Joe Flanigan in ball and chain.
Surprise to see no Vampire shows on there.

Orion sounds like it could be vaguely okay if they do it right. Basically, make it Indiana Jones crossed with Star Wars and it should be alright.

    My takes:

    Ball & Chain
    - Superpowered ex's who spend the whole hour bickering with each other. Oh yeah, sign me up immediately! :rommie:

    Me and Lee
: If they cast someone doing a riff on the Lee Majors persona, it could work. But if they mean Lee Majors will literally be playing the role? Ugh.

Orion: I'm desperate for any space opera, so I'm in.

: Ditto on the space opera front. One of the two will be good. Probably not this one, since someone from Stargate is involved, but I'll give both a shot.

Legendary: Same problem as the Literal Lee Majors dilemma above. If this were someone making fun of the Kevin Sorbo persona, it might be good. But Sorbo will kill it dead.

Human Relations: Mad Men meets Mars Attacks? I'll check it out.

Zeros: Ghostbusters with zombies. I'm in.

    Fantasy casting:

Evan Peters - Lead role in Human Relations.

Adrian Pasdar and William Fichtner - Alien ad execs from Human Relations.

Christine Woods - Lead role in Orion.

Dana Davis - Wood's spunky second in command.

Joe Flanigan - Rival relic hunter, chief foe of Christine Woods' character.

Robert Knepper - I'll cast him against type as a space cop who tries to shut Christine Woods' business down.

Ben Browder - If they aren't actually casting Lee Majors in Lee and Me (and I hope they aren't), then Ben's your guy.

Milo Ventimiglia - Lead role in Sherwood, playing a character who is well-meaning but naive and dangerously unsavvy due to his sheltered upbringing. Falls in with a bunch who make the crew of Serenity looks like Teletubbies. Hilarity ensues.

Terry O'Quinn - Captain of the space rogue crew in Sherwood.

Ken Leung, Clea DuVall, Clancy Brown - Sherwood crew members.

Josh Holloway - By rights, he should have the "badass dino hunter" role reserved for him in Terra Nova but if for some silly reason he's in need of a job, I'll cast him against type as the evil Sheriff of Nottingham character on Sherwood.

Michael Emerson, Wentworth Miller and Nick Stahl - The Zeroes, a scruffy but resourceful band of zombie wranglers.

Trying to think of roles for Henry Ian Cusick and Joel Grestch (given V's ratings, he better start looking for another job soon) - any ideas?

No vampire show? I'm shocked! I thought they would try to cash in on the Twilight craze.

Yknow, Adam Baldwin's gonna need a gig when Chuck finally runs out of steam. This sounds like a great role for him.

They sound like they're all sitcoms. There's nothing wrong with a good sitcom. Genre related shows like Bewitched, I Dream of Jeannie and 3rd Rock from the Sun have all done well on television.

Not everything has to be taken seriously.

operated on a Skiffy budget and came out looking okay. Probably due to the creativity of the producers in pinching pennies and knowing where to spend their limited dollars.

Me & Lee and Legendary sound like the same idea getting meta with the actors and their personas and whatever. The premise of Legendary sounds more conducive to interesting situations though.

Orion sounds good if anybody other than skiffy (or is that siffy now?) was doing it. The potential is there anyway and the most promising there. Similarly, I think Ball and Chain could work in the right hands but I'm doubtful that'd be the case.

I think I can envision how Sherwood and Human Relations will play out given Syfy's past properties. Outlook not so good.

Zeros is a wildcard for me, I'm not quite sure how that would work out, could be a winner, could be a dud, but I'm rather undecided.

The most important thing, of course, is will the show be single-camera or not?

Human Relations makes me hope for something snarky and crazy, like Archer. But we'll probably get the quirky, toothless, cutesy-poo Eureka/Haven/Warehouse 13 type approach instead.

For Orion, I suddenly remembered that Katee Sackhoff's pilot wasn't picked up. She's the natural choice for the lead role, what with the existing fanbase. And to be brutally honest, Claudia Black is now too old and wrinkly to headline a skiffy show. They'll got for a younger, hotter actress.

But the role shouldn't be a Starbuck-type angsty drag. I think we've all had enough of that. The character should be more Indiana Jones-style uncomplicated fun.

I'll take Orion and Sherwood, any show that is off-Earth is at least potentially interesting.

But I want that freaking "Revolutionary War in the Future" show that was being tossed around a few years ago....

None of them sound especially appealing, but it's really down to the writing/acting. Any of them could be amazing or complete garbage. Though, the odds tend to lead toward the latter.

I know ME AND LEE has been in develpoment elsewhere, and LEGENDARYmore or less the same.

HUMAN RELATIONS rings a bell, but that might not be because it was in development elsewhere.

Didn't they even film the pilot for that show?

Orion & Sherwood do sound sort of interesting. We'll see what we get I suppose.

Orion sounds great, but then I just think to myself, "why the fuck don't they just make more firefly?"

Oh well, I'll probably check it out.
