Sisko and FC

^ Let's himself get captured by the Borg? I must have missed the scene where Picard beams over to the Borg cube, drops his dacks and says, "I'm ready for my injection of tiny evil robots."

Director's cut.

It also features Borg-on-Borg action.

Maybe you missed part one...

For most of the second half of part one the Borg tell them why they are there...to make him their spokesmen..then he spends hours hiding in a cloud doing what? Thinking about history with Guinan in 10 Forward...

I was in the military. And I can tell you that whenever someone with the intel that Picard has is in a tactical situation as Picard is, they have measures available to them to make sure they 'die' before they are captured...

If they had thrown in a scene where picard attempted to take his own life I would have said, okay, he took measures. But they didn't. Instead he's joking around with Guinan....

Picard and Sisko. Both of them made choices...Picard always made the wrong ones, when compared to Sisko..IMO..

Kelsey Grammer's voice, as the captain of the Bozeman, is heard.

Really? I didn't know that. I'd thought the producers said there were no audio cameos in the movie.

When the Enterprise arrives at the battle, there's a comm message telling the Defiant and Bozeman to move to some position or another. The voice that says "Acknowledged" is Grammer's, recorded when Grammer walked over from the Frasier set on the Paramount lot over to the sound booth for First Contact.

When would Picard have had the chance, though? The Borg surround him and transport him to their vessel. Then, we we do actually see him in the cube, he's got at least two drones that seem to be specifically designated as his guards. Not to mention a cube full of additional drones. And Picard had no idea that the Borg would actually assimilate him - just that they wanted to use his knowledge, which, as far as he knew at the time, was safely locked in his head and out of their reach.

I have read in some places that there is a scene filmed with Sisko that was cut from Star Trek; First Contact. Is this true?

It may have been scripted, but it was never shot.

Plus, during the battle with the Borg ship, and as the Enterprise listens in on the communications, is that Sisko's voice we hear on the com unit or not, for a brief moment???

There is a lot of debate over if it is or if it isn't. Some fans say yes, some fans say no. We once had a thread in here that was over 20 pages long on this topic.

Glad I'm not the only one that's thought that this over the years.
