Since launching 20 years ago, what's your favorite PlayStation memory?

Re: Since launching 20 years ago, what's your favorite PlayStation mem

Final Fantasy VII will always have a special place in my heart. It's the game that turned me into an RPG fan. I love RPGs.

My favourite memory of the PSX is playing the Spyro the Dragon series. Platformers have always been my favourite genre and the entire Spyro trilogy was simply a masterpiece in game design.

I wonder how that appreciation for the original Spyro games makes you feel about the Skylanders franchise ;)

Oh yeah, the original Diablo worked surprisingly well as a console game because of the 8-way joystick type movement that mapped well to the digipad (pre-analog i.e. pre-Dual Shock).

I wasted more time on that & a Madden game than I did on any NES, Sega Gen & Saturn game combined! LOL.

Now, a contemporary, originally developed for PC game that worked not quite as well on a controller was the original C&C, which I still played way too much of

Mine was the feeling i got when I resisted the "interrogation" scene in metal gear solid (just by button mashing) as I knew I was going to finish the game and get the "Meryl" ending. I got cramp in my hand doing so.

Oh and trying to figure out what Meryl meant by her codex frequency was on the back of the CD case and wondering what the hell she going on about and then finding an image of her frequency on the back of the actual game case.

The transition from cinematic to gameplay in Uncharted 2. I was unprepared for the experience. I had not seen anything like it.

Another one was the entire Brave Fencer Musashi experience. I still want an HD revamp for that gem.

I think another one of mine (since I already posted in this thread) was renting 'Castlevania: Symphony of the Night." It was the first game I rented for the Playstation after I bought it, and it blew me away. The music alone made me knew jumping to a CD medium was a great investment.

Thanks to the Memory Cards (which at that point in time was still a relatively new concept to me) I quickly got it myself and continued playing on.
